Perhaps it’s a good thing Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are spending time apart. Miley has been using the distance wisely and has put the finishing on the first single from her new album, confirming on Twitter that she would be releasing her new single soon!

Miley’s set to release her new single off her new album this summer, giving her fans a much overdue listen to the music they’ve all come to love and enjoy. When a fan account using the Twitter handle @MileyxNewsx tweeted on Mar. 12, “I never said Miley’s single was coming out July 24th, I said it will be out before then,” Miley replied, “It will be.”

And it appears Miley has had more than enough time to work on her music she and Liam have been distant from one another in the past few weeks.

According to PageSix, Miley and Liam have split! Liam is currently in Australia while Miley is here in the states.

“He needed to get away from Los Angeles and spend some time with his brother and friends,” a source tells the publication.

Another source tells PageSix that “Miley and Liam are done; it’s over. She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.”

A subsequent source reveals, “They have broken up before, and are broken up again now. There was drama because she suspected he had a wandering eye. And she recently tweeted a denial that he cheated.”

Well, we sure hope Miley and Liam are not broken up and that they’re planning to marry soon! Hang in there Miley and Liam, we know you will make it through.
