Sean and new fiancée Catherine Giudici may only be newly engaged, but they already know one person who’s not scoring an invite to their big day: the woman who broke Sean’s heart on national TV! Read on to find out why Emily won’t be receiving a save the date card.

When it was revealed that Sean Lowe had chosen to propose to Catherine Giudici during the Mar. 11 finale of The Bachelor, the happy couple announced that they would also get married on camera for the network that brought them together. While the wedding is still in its very early planning stages, there’s at least one person who Sean knows he won’t be inviting: former Bachelorette Emily Maynard!
The day after the finale, Sean spoke with Us Weekly, informing the publication that the woman who sent him home during her season of the reality TV franchise wouldn’t be earning an invite. “Probably not,” Sean said. “You know, I think the world of Emily, and I want nothing but good things for her. But I don’t know if it would be the most appropriate thing to have her at the wedding.”

Sean, 29, also revealed that he’s spoken to other Bachelor and Bachelorette couples who’ve tied the knot on TV to get their input — including former Bachelorette Ashley Hebert and husband J.P. Rosenbaum and former Bachelor Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney.

“I talked to J.P. the other day about it,” he said. “I mean, they had a wonderful experience and I haven’t really talked to Jason or Molly. They’ve both become friends of mine but I’m assuming they had a great experience as well. So I really, at this point, we don’t really see any drawbacks.”
