Gwyneth Paltrow’s Reveals Her Kids’ Low-Carb Diet In New Cookbook

The gorgeous actress is known for her fit figure and obsession with diet and exercise, but the mom of two revealed in her new cookbook that not only does she not eat carbs — she doesn’t let her kids eat them either! Read on for more details.

Gwenyth Paltrow has been vocal about her experience with fad diets, including the macrobiotic diet and a kale and lemon cleanse, but the married mom of two revealed that she’s passing on her diet obsession to her kids Apple, 8, and Moses, 6 — and doesn’t let them eat carbs!

In her new cookbook It’s All Good, which comes out in April, Gwenyth has a chapter about grains, but talks about them more as a poison than a nutritious food group.

“Every single nutritionist, doctor and health-conscious person I have ever come across . . . seems to concur that (gluten) is tough on the system and many of us are at best intolerant of it and at worst allergic to it,” she writes in her new book.

“Sometimes when my family is not eating pasta, bread or processed grains like white rice, we’re left with that specific hunger that comes with avoiding carbs,” she added.

Gwyneth Paltrow Restricting Carbs Not Healthy For Kids

That reasoning, however, isn’t consistent with dietitians’ recommendations for growing kids. Public health nutritionist Yvonne Wake tells the Daily Mail that restricting carbs could be more harmful than helpful.

“I think it’s not a good idea,” she said. “Kids need carbohydrate because it gives them glycogen which keeps your brain going. Without it they won’t be able to think straight as their brain won’t be functioning and their thinking patterns will be slow.”

Even if Gwyneth doesn’t eat many grains herself, she should at least allow her kids to!

We know Paltrow is a famous celebrity . So it’s very difficult for her to properly take care of her kids.But I think she is more exceptional than other celebrity.It’s a good sign to properly take care of her kids. To read this above article I realize she is more conscious about her kids. That’s why she provide proper nutrition foods to her kids. It’s really help for growing her kids healthy and energetic.

Xu Meng washed five times because the head, so the speed is slow, it would still be dressed in bathrobes, see Liu Yiyi this outfit, he suddenly a lower body, bathrobes are not cover this big tent, so Xu Meng I simply bathrobes fling, Liu Yiyi naked in front of you. If her children have a problem with gluten it is better for them to not have it at all, I have a cousin who almost died as a baby because of this problem

Um, she eats potatoes and sweet potatoes. I just watched her make muffins on Rachael Ray’s show from her cookbook. Low carb is not no-carb. Eating a lot of carbs makes a lot of people crave more like crazy. Lower the amount of carbs and you get hungry when actually hungry.

She’s not starving her children, for god’s sake. Most people do not need the excessive amount of carbs in the typical US/UK diet. They are cheap fillers that replace other things that are good for you.

first off, I actually have a science degree. I’d like to say this: get out the science book! ALOT of veggies are starchy carbs: sweet potatoes, yams, potatoes, zucchini, carrots…you get the idea.
And you can still eat WHOLE FOODS and still get enough carbs. So for you to post that they are on an ultra low carb diet, with out stating in grams what that is….you’re just misleading people. i doubt she’s denying them carbs to be honest…she just feeding them healthy food that wasn’t made in a factory.

Buy a science book, get the book Practical Paleo and learn how to eat healthy.

Eating bread and pasta…..will give you diabetes, cancer and heart disease.phytic acid and gluten are making alot of people sick. just look around you at the fat sick people you know. And the vegans? After a while, you’re getting sick all the time. Case and point: Morrisey!!!

I have been eating Paleo for about 6 months and feel so much better! I have lost almost 20 pounds and approx 5 inches off my waist. I think she is just wording this wrong as well, she isn’t low carb she is no grain. There is a difference between grains and processed foods and carbs people!
