Their engagement delighted fans, but Sean and Catherine very nearly spoiled the whole surprise on their Twitter accounts MONTHS before the finale of ‘The Bachelor’ aired! Read on for all the details.

Part of the fun of watching The Bachelor this season was watching how Sean Lowe’s heart twisted and turned towards making his final decision to propose to Catherine Giudici in the finale that aired on Mar. 11, but the two lovebirds nearly ruined the whole thing with some cryptic tweets that, in retrospect, seem to hint at the outcome of the season!

Sean Lowe Nearly Reveals He’s Engaged To Catherine Giudici

Back on Jan. 12, Sean was tweeted at by Molly Mesnick, wife of former Bachelor Jason Mesnick, who wrote, “Seattleites, we’ve recruited @SeanLowe09 to be a Seahawks fan! He’s rooting for a big W tomorrow!” The hunky reality star re-tweeted the message, saying, “It’s true!” How is this a clue? His new fiancée Catherine hails from the city!

And he wasn’t the only one to slyly let the cat out of the bag! On Feb. 21, Catherine shared a photo on her Instagram account of a skull ring with the caption, “It’s mine. Wanna fight about it?” This photo lead many fans to guess that she was the winner of Sean’s heart, including one who wrote, “Omg Catherine I can’t believe you and Sean are engaged! Cuties bachelor and bachelorette, you guys better stay together forever and your gorgeous by and don’t let anyone change that! Ignore the haters.”

Sean & Catherine To Wed On ABC

Now that the engagement is completely public knowledge, fans of the couple have a televised wedding to look forward to! During the Mar. 11 After The Final Rose special, Sean revealed that he and Catherine would tie the knot on the network that brought them together.

“A marriage follows a proposal. We don’t have a date yet, but we decided that since our relationship started, cultivated and developed on a TV show, so we’ll have our wedding on a TV show. And ABC will cover the wedding,” the happy guy said as the audience erupted in cheers!
