Sean is officially an engaged man! On the final of ‘The Bachelor’ on March 11, the Texan hunk got down on one knee and proposed to one of the final girls in a romantic Thai setting.
Sean Lowe has fulfilled his duties as The Bachelor, because now he is engaged! On the March 11 finale both Lindsay Yenter and Catherine Giudici attended the final rose ceremony, but only one of them went home with both a ring and a future husband! A massive game changing twist at the final rose ceremony turned things on it’s head, and Sean was in a bigger dilemma than ever.
Sean Lowe’s Family Meets Catherine Giudici
Sean’s mom, dad, sister and nephew and niece arrive in beautiful Thailand, and god help poor Lindsay and Catherine! Sean’s family — who are very attractive — seem eager to meet the girls, but his mom Sherry has a case of the stink eye. Catherine arrives first, and boy is she nervous! All is good though, because Sean’s dad really likes her.
However his mom plans a Jane Fonda in Monster-In-Law style interrogation, except clearly she ain’t as fierce as Jane. Sherry seems to really like Catherine, and so does his dad when he chats with her at the lake. Catherine says she and Sean spend all their time “laughing and eating,” and if that is not what great romances are made of, I don’t know what is. Sean’s dad then tells Catherine “he will love her like my daughter” and oh lord here comes the waterworks.
Catherine hugs his family goodbye, and things are looking positive for the Seattle goofball!
Sean’s Family Meet Lindsay Yenter
When Sean met Wedding Dress Lindsay’s father, he was terrified of the Army General, so Lindsay had an easy run! Sean’s family teased Lindsay for famously wearing the wedding dress — oh Lindsay! — and Lindsay gets interrogated by Sean’s dad Jay, who is as wise as Dr Phil and Dr Drew combined. More tears fall, as Jay says the same nice things he said to Catherine, and it’s clear he would be a really nice father-in-law. Lindsay then asks for Sean’s hand in marriage, and everyone laughs. Just pick her Sean!
Sean’s family then joke about voting for which girl they like the most, and it’s clear that both girls hit it out of the park! It looks like Sean’s decision will only be harder, not easier, after the family meetings.
Sean Has An Intense Conversation With His Mother
Sean and his mom have an intensive and sweaty conversation by a lake. Sherry is concerned that Sean is jumping too soon into his decision and she tells him he doesn’t have to propose to either of them. Cut the apron strings woman! She starts to cry, and tells her precious baby that he is “making a huge decision.” Sean reassures her that he will make the right choice.
Sean sends his super sweet family home, as he realizes that he needs to make this decision alone. So of course he goes to the balcony to stare out and look pensive.
Sean’s Final Date With Lindsay
Sean and Lindsay have a sexy boat ride on the dirtiest looking river I’ve ever seen, but there is champagne and make out fun so all is good. Sean and Lindsay kiss and whisper sweet nothings into each other’s ear over dinner, and it’s clear that they are super smitten with each other. ”I can’t believe how much I love him,” said Lindsay.
Oh lord I hope he picks her!
Sean arrives at Lindsay’s home for some wine — there must always be wine — and it is her last chance to make an impression. Sean is “everything” she wants in a husband, and they kiss a lot. Then they go outside and light lanterns and send them up in the air, and Sean realizes that he is in love with Lindsay. Well, duh Sean!
Sean’s Final Date With Catherine
Sean feels super “torn” when he starts his date with Catherine, and they run towards each other in a field. Sean takes Catherine on a super romantic date… to ride an elephant. But Catherine seems to love it, and things get very Water For Elephants. They use many, many adjectives about how beautiful Thailand is, and then they chill out with champagne, and they talk about their future, and Catherine is confident they have one.
When they later have sexy alone time — minus the elephants — and Catherine decides to spill all her true feelings for Sean. Sean realizes that he likes her a lot too, but he feels intense guilt about Lindsay. Catherine takes a HUGE risk and drops an L bomb right in Sean’s lap before he leaves. Play the game girl!
But then he replies with “Thank you for today.” WHAT. A. BURN.
Catherine follows him crying — oh dear — and Sean still refuses to say the L word back. Poor Catherine! She goes home to weep on bed, and I guess we finally know how Taylor Swift feels all the time.
Sean Eliminates….
Sean FINALLY takes his shirt off when he weighs up the pros and cons of each girl, and on the day of the proposal Sean decides there is one girl “that he could not live without.” Who is it?
Neil Lane makes his second cameo appearance, and Sean picks a very nice engagement ring. Sean puts on a suit, even in the heat of Thailand, and begins the walk to the final rose ceremony.
Meanwhile Catherine and Lindsay get dolled up for what will be the most important moment in one of their lives, and the most devastating for the other. Sean is weeping at the thought of eliminating one girl — let’s just hope she doesn’t pull a Ben Flajnik!
Lindsay arrives first, and she walks slowly towards the Texan hunk who tells her “she blows him away” and he is amazed by her “courage.” But then SEAN ELIMINATES LINDAY! Sean tells Lindsay he loves her, but that his heart is somewhere else.
Well my heart was just ripped out of my chest!
Poor Lindsay was so mature and amazing as she told Sean it was “OK” that he eliminated her, and he walked her out and told her how amazing she was. Lindsay drove off in tears and I don’t think I will ever forgive Sean.
And then Sean gets a game changing letter from Catherine — is she dumping him?
Sean Proposes To Catherine Giudici
The letter from Catherine was not scary at all — it was heartfelt and emotional letter where Catherine told Sean how much she loved up and how much she wanted to be part of his family.
Then SEAN PROPOSED TO CATHERINE!
And the proposal was so beautiful! Sean got down on on knee and told Catherine how much he loved her, and that she was the one for him. She called him “handsome” and her “prince” and there was lot of kissing. So sweet! Catherine and Sean are meant to be!
Then they rode off into the sunset onto of an elephant, and the lovebirds were grinning from ear to ear.
Congratulations Sean and Catherine!
And on the After the Rose special, Sean and Catherine are more in love than ever!

Linsay kissed Sean too much. Gets old fast. Catherine managed to keep the perfect distance, allowing Sean to want more. The man needs to make the effort, which he did. As for a sign, with every date they wore matching colors. There’s your sign. Trust me, she will make a great wife. I don’t normally watch these shows. I only did this one time because Catherines beauty is undeniable. She is just like my wife h….e, short, cute, and spunky. The proposal actually made me smile and tear a bit. Wish them the best.
