'Bachelor' Recap: Sean Lowe & Winner Are So 'In Love'

Sean and his new fiancée sat down with host Chris Harrison to talk about their love, the dramatic final, and their future as husband and wife on ‘The Bachelor: After The Rose’ special. So sweet!

Sean Lowe has had one roller coaster ride on The Bachelor, but it was all worth it because now he is engaged! After the March 11 finale, Sean and his new fiancée Catherine Giudici sat down with Chris Harrison for a tell all interview on the After The Rose special, where Sean revealed that he was so “in love” with his fiancée, and how guilty he feels about eliminating Lindsay Yenter. Read on for all the juicy details!

Sean Lowe Feels Guilty For Eliminating Lindsay Yenter

Sean proposed to Catherine on the season finale and eliminated Lindsay, and it was so devastating for the Missouri sweetheart!

Chris Harrison invites Lindsay out to speak her mind and she is so mature! She says it is good to see Sean, and he tells her how much he liked her. Lindsay naturally asks why he didn’t pick her, and Sean says it was nothing she did, and he said “there was something with Catherine” that he did not have with Lindsay. He said he finally got “clarity” and Lindsay tells him how well he handled the situation, and that she is “happy for him.”

What a cool chick! She is thankful that the situation made her “stronger.” Lindsay said that the hardest part was not knowing why Sean eliminated her, and he simply said that Catherine was “the one.”

I love Wedding Dress Lindsay even more than ever now, because she took all her heartache on the chin!

Catherine & Sean Are Reunited As A Couple

Then for the first time ever, Sean and Catherine are reunited as a couple in public! Catherine looked stunning in a black dress, and when she arrived Sean kissed his fiancée and told her “you look amazing babe.” And Catherine showed off her HUGE engagement ring!

Catherine said they are a happy couple and they seem so in love, and Sean says he is “incredibly blessed” to have her in his life. Chris asks Catherine about Sean failing to tell her he loved her in Thailand, and she said that it didn’t matter because she “wanted him forever.”

They are just so sweet together!

Catherine and Sean talked about how happy they are together now, and how there separation has only made them stronger. Catherine said she was not nervous about Sean proposing to her in Thailand, because she “trusted” him.

Catherine & Sean Talk Marriage & The Future

Before the proposal, Catherine sent Sean a letter that looked like she was about to dump him, but thankfully it just expressed her love. Catherine laughed about the letter mislead Sean, and she said that the letter “expressed everything she wanted to say.”

Sean and Catherine then watch the emotional proposal back, and Sean has tears in his eyes as he says “I just love her so much.” Catherine giggles because she is nervous, but she says it is nice to be able to see the proposal from Sean’s perspective because it was “the biggest moment of my life.”

Sean says that a “marriage will follow a proposal,” and while they have not set a date yet, they will marry VERY SOON. How exciting! And it will be aired on ABC, just like J.P. Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert‘s wedding! Chris offered to marry them there and then, but they politely declined. Oh Chris!

Sean is sure of his decision, as he says that he is ready to “spend the rest of his life with this woman.” The couple do not know where they will live yet, but “Catherine has packed her bags.”

The New ‘Bachelorette’ Is Announced

Next, Chris announced the new Bachelorette and it’s Desiree Hartsock! She will begin her journey for love on May 20, and she talked about how “excited” she is, and how she wants “to meet the man of her dreams.”

I hope they really get married. His parents need to encourage him to move forward with the wedding. Not join DWTS! Kind of had a lower opinion of him after I found that out.

Sean not buying this at all very dissapointing with the choice you made

Hmm i think i’m a few who is not buying this. Though I already picked Catherine would be the one during the two-rose episode due to Sean’s facial and emotional reaction while watching Catherine’s video, I was not buying Sean’s propaganda that he couldn’t make a decision between Catherine and Lindsay or he feels the same or in love with both at the same time. He already felt hard for Catherine. I realize Sean is sort of a political player, he played a huge part in the conspiracy to aid the ratings of the show and to fool America with the nonsense that he was having a hard time to making the decision. Wasn’t it obvious? The final date with Lindsay was so boring, Sean was having a hard time showing interest.

I was really happy when Sean picked Catherine. I hope they’ll be able to make it work in the real world because they seem so genuine together! I actually almost didn’t get to see the finale because I work the late shift at DISH during the week. My DISH Hopper recorded it for me though, since it automatically records everything on ABC during the primetime hours every night. It was great being able to get caught up as soon as I got home!
