The ladies of ‘The View’ are dropping like flies! Barbara may be taking Joy and Elisabeth’s lead and exiting the long-running ABC talk show. Would you be sad if she did?

Joy Behar confirmed that she’s ending her 16-year run on The View this August. Plus, a new report claims that Elisabeth Hasselbeck will also be saying goodbye to the ABC daytime talk show. While that news is enough to crush any fan’s spirit, a new report suggests that Barbara Walters is also considering stepping down.   

Sources tell the Daily News that the show’s creator/executive producer and star, 83, is considering stepping down. Barbara and reps for the show, however, declined to comment.

Could this be why Joy decided to leave the show after 16 plus years? Or was it the other way around? Regardless, it appears as though there is going to be a big shakeup on the View’s panel next season.

“The viewers they polled all said [Elisabeth] was too extreme and right wing,” a source close to production tells Us Weekly. “People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed.”

Elisabeth became an official View co-host in Nov. 2003.

Joy Behar Ends Her Time On ‘The View’

“It seemed like the right time,” Joy tells HollywoodLife.com’s sister site Deadline. “You reach a point when you say to yourself, ‘Do I want to keep doing this?’ There are other things on my plate I want to do — I’ve been writing a play, I’ve been neglecting my standup.”

If all three co-hosts are leaving the talk show, it may be a good time to revamp the entire series. What do YOU think? Who would be a good host?
