Selena Gomez‘s career is going from strength to strength, as this month sees the release of both the Wizards of Waverly Place reunion, and her sexy new film Spring Breakers. Plus, she will be dropping her hot new album in April! In a new interview, Selena talks all about the “fun” new pop album, and she names which pop singer inspired her!

Selena Gomez Opens Up About New Album

Selena spoke all about her upcoming album in a new interview, where she said that it would be a fun “pop” record, and how she is inspired by the “Anything Can Happen” singer Ellie Goulding. So cool!

“It is so much fun,” Selena told Teen Vogue. “I made a huge fun dance record that I’m so proud of. I got to record twenty or so great songs and work with a bunch of different producers and they’re all really fun, pop songs; a little Ellie Goulding-ish, a little island-y feel. It’s a really fun pop record. I’m super stoked for it. It’s kind of been hush-hush about it and I’m excited for the single to come out and for my fans to hear it.”

Well we can’t wait to hear it either! This album will be a great stepping stone in Selena’s career, as she turns from teen starlet into a woman. In this interview, Selena also reveals the truth behind her sexy video shoot photos!

Selena was pictured looking super sexy on March 5 in the Californian desert, where she was believed to be filming her hot new music video for her upcoming single, but that is not the case!

“That actually wasn’t for my music video! They’re just from a photo shoot I did,” says Selena. “The pictures were everywhere and my friends were texting me, like, ‘What’s going on?!’ That is exactly why I tell people not to believe what they read on the internet.”

We can’t wait to see that photo shoot too!

I can’t wait to get Sel’s new album! Rule the World is so catchy and awesome! If all the other songs are similar, the album would totally rock!!! Sel rocks!

Character is much sexier and interesting than walking around half naked with a permanent blow wave. Set your clocks, she’ll be sniffing around Beiber’s balls again when her career starts going round in circles and his is back on the up. Noone above the age of 9 knew or cared about her before she hooked up with him. She owes still just being in the press to him. Bieber is far better off without her.

You are right. The only press she gets is in relation to Justin, Otherwise, she is just another ex-Disney actress trying to become a sexy grownup actress, pimping herself out to whatever she can – nail polish, sneakers, Unicef, dancing, clothes design, perfume, acting, singing, blah blah blah.
