Lamar could not keep his eyes open in court during his custody hearing, according to a new report. Do YOU think it’s rude that Lamar fell asleep during a case about his kids?
It seems as if catching a few “Z’s” was Lamar Odom’s primary concern during a custody hearing at a New York courthouse on March 5. The clippers basketball star, 33, dozed off during an ongoing child custody battle, causing the court officer to call him out.
“Excuse me, are you OK?” the court officer said to Lamar, according to the New York Post. After the officer woke him from his little nap, Lamar reportedly replied that he was fine.
The officer then told him “I need you to sit up,” which Lamar did but rested his head in his hand for the remainder of the hearing. Currently married to Khloe Kardashian, 28, he is battling ex girlfriend Liza Morales for custody of their daughter Destiny, 14, and son Lamar Jr., 11.
Ex Girlfriend Liza Morales Is Devastated
Liza and Lamar were together for 10 years prior to him meeting Khloe. The two met as students at Christ The King High School in Queens, N.Y., and had three children together, one of whom lost his life at only six-months-old. Although Liza and Lamar have been separated for nearly four years, Liza is still angry about the situation.
“How could the man who’d constantly given me reason after reason for why we couldn’t get married just yet now be ready to tie the knot so quickly?” she wrote in an open letter she published in The Daily Beast.
Liza, who claims the couple was once engaged in 2000, also revealed that now she and Lamar have no relationship at all. “We only communicate through third parties and lawyers, which I regret deeply since it is exactly what we each experienced as children and said we wouldn’t do it to our kids,” she wrote in the letter.
