Taylor Swift, you really are such a role model. You really opened up in the April issue of Vanity Fair about your relationship with Harry Styles and it makes total sense why you decided to end the relationship. I’m so happy that you wouldn’t tolerate him allegedly cheating on you, because so many girls stay with men who cheat!
Taylor Swift, I’m Glad You’re Speaking Out
Taylor, even though you wouldn’t allow yourself to be quoted in Vanity Fair talking about Harry, you did authorize a source. I know from experience that this means you approved the quotes before they were published. The source says that you couldn’t trust Harry and that: “[he] disappeared one night and after that it was like he just didn’t want to keep going.”
The source adds that someone showed you a photograph of Harry kissing another girl while you two were together, and that even though you took him back, you eventually dumped him because you couldn’t trust him. Good for you, Taylor! I’m happy to learn this because so many girls stay with men who constantly cheat on them. You are setting a good example for all girls by saying you you won’t stand for someone disrespecting you.
Taylor’s Lesson: Never Settle
Now maybe Harry, 19, wasn’t ready for a mature relationship even though he said he was. You are also four years older, at the ripe old age of 23, and have been juggling fame and a private life since 2006. It’s unfortunate that he broke your heart in the process, but you have learned a valuable lesson: never settle!
You also stood up for yourself again when you said that you don’t see a problem writing about your exes and your past relationships.

You said: “For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that’s taking something that potentially should be celebrated—a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way—that’s taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.”
