Justin Bieber received some flack for wearing a crazy outfit on Feb. 26. His ex, Selena Gomez, even “laughed” because she was so “embarrassed for him,” a source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. Well, the Biebs must have gotten wind of her comments because he set the record straight on Instagram, explaining why he wore the colorful ensemble in London.

Justin set the record straight on Instagram on Feb. 26, when he said, “Ryan [Butler] said ‘you won’t go out in that.’ I said ‘watch me’ haha too colorful next time im gonna wear a black hat. But a fan did get me this hat so I’m glad I wore it.”

Justin, 18, wore a bright yellow, flat-brimmed hat detailed with metallic spikes, pink leopard-print sweats and oversized hipster glasses. He also sported two BIG gold watched on BOTH wrists.

As of now, there’s no word on who gifted Justin the hat, but we’re pretty sure the fan is jumping for joy right about now. Can you imagine having Justin wear something that you gave him?
