‘Law & Order: SVU’ Predicts Tragic End For Chris Brown & Rihanna

Chris Brown & Rihanna will never be able to escape the night he viciously beat her on the night of the 2009 Grammys. Four years later, that incident was the basis for this week’s ‘Law & Order: SVU’ — but did NBC do the story justice?

Chris Brown must always live with his violent past against Rihanna, which is now forever documented on the Feb. 27 episode of Law & Order: SVU. But rather than a straight re-telling of Chris and Rihanna’s story, the writers took things a little further, predicting what could happen if a “promising singer” were to stay with her “popular hip-hop star” boyfriend and remain silent when he acted out.

(Watch Chris Brown & Rihanna’s ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Full Episode)

The Episode Begins With The Beating

The episode awkwardly began with a caption on the screen telling us it was not based on anyone in real life. We see a young singer named Misha performing a duet with Caleb Bryant — interesting initials “CB” — showing that they are really in love with each other. Dave Navarro plays the sound engineer, and one of the few people excited that Misha will become a singing sensation. Then, two seconds after kissing on Misha, Caleb moves onto a background singer that looks exactly like Karrueche Tran. Misha obviously sees what is going on, but instead of handling it like a man, Caleb beats her up in front of a handful of people.

Caleb is a big jerk, getting a hold of his lawyer by saying, “Somebody call my jew!” when he gets arrested for the beating that has now been blasted all over Perez Hilton‘s website. What’s also interesting is that when this happens, they actually have the words “Chris Brown & Rihanna” on screen. Comparing this beating to the one of Chris and RiRi were involved in is art imitating life.

The Chris Brown Character (Caleb Bryant) Gets Away With The Assault

Though he is arrested, Caleb goes onto The Wendy Williams Show to apologize, offering Misha a friendship ring. Then he actually violates a restraining order when the police find him in bed with her, so he gets sent to court and receives another slap on the wrist. The cops continue to be frustrated that he gets away with things, over and over. Caleb even gets arrested again when he is found with pot, but Misha continues to fall in love with him. Going back to the man who abused her; it certanly sounds like Rihanna and Chris, doesn’t it?

Truth & Fiction Begin To Blur

During a record release party, Caleb breaks his restraining order again, shooting and killing his former band manager, and harming Misha again. Caleb may be a huge thug, but he has tons of talent, so his fans and the law are at an odds. Misha continues to lie for her love, even covering for him while the police visit her in the hospital.

But it’s the death of his former band manager, who is now Misha’s band manager, that really gets the case moving forward — because she actually cares for the man she calls “Brass.” The cops bring Brass’s family to make Misha start talking, and it works.

Misha (Rihanna) Finally Tells The Cops The Truth

Misha claims it all started when she found a text on Caleb’s phone in a club from another girl. That was the first beating, which was actually very similar to Chris and Rihanna’s infamous moment in 2009 when he beat her after arguing over a text! Back to the show, Misha admits that Caleb shot Brass and the case moves forward to get Caleb the punishment he deserves.

Misha & Caleb’s Shocking Twist Ending

Caleb goes back to court but Misha doesn’t tell the truth on all the incidents which gets the case thrown out, and the cops are understandably very upset. The police suggest that the next thing that will happen is that Caleb will kill her — and they’re right! Caleb and Misha go to Bermuda on a private yacht, and when she angers him after another text, he kills her.

Overall, the show took a lot of liberties in re-telling — and adding a great deal onto — the couple’s story.

That’s not always the case my aunt was abused but she will tell u she played a big part in the fighting. After about 5 years and 6 kids later they both decided to end the fighting . My aunt stayed with her husband until he died she has not remarried because she said he was her soul mate and I truly believe her. I get really upset when people try to spoon feed u there relationship problems just because u had a fight with your man and he really did’nt love u doesn’t mean it’s goes for everyone’s relationship. Hell we all have problems and I feel women need to stop playing that I’m a women card everytime they start the fight and it goes to far. I feel it’s more abused men out there than women.

you need to educate yourself on women abuse , its worse than you think., if someone had to beat me to show me their love somethings wrong somewhere. they probably weren’t really shown how to love the right way.some of the hip hop artist act just like thugs, money only makes them worse sometimes. they think money can buy anything, even love, women also need to know the difference between love and abuse, again some dont care or know the difference, they just love the lifestyle, shame shame

The ending was a sad reality for so many men and women in violent relationships. An abuser can go months, even years without abusing his/her romantic partner, but abuse is abuse, whether it is continuous or happens one time. Chris Brown clearly has issues with control, anger, and feeling the need to dominate another person, which are not qualities in a healthy relationship, and they have not gone away over the years. Essentially, domestic violence is not an anger management issue, but it is about feeling the need to control another person through any means necessary, including resorting to physical violence. Violence is a CHOICE. Chris Brown could have chosen to handle the situation any other way that night, but he CHOSE to viciously attack Rihanna for confronting him for his infidelity, and his punches and blows didn’t stop no matter how much she screamed and cried. Seeing that they have reconciled, all I can say is I wish them the best and I hope they get all of the resources they need to have a healthy relationship.

Man I read some of these comments….Calm down. You know what Television is? Fiction and Fantasy. It’s not real people come on. This was not a biography, it was a TV show. It has nothing to do with Chris and Rihanna’s real life, OR, the potential out come of there realtionship. Ok. Breath…woosah.

what are they trying to achieve though? And why didnt they do this 4 yrs ago when it was fresh off the press like they do with their other headline bitten stories?.. Vultures is what the media is, exploiting situations for ratings-we see you! Its so not cool

@Jess, perhaps they’re trying to achieve just what is happening here…..drawn out conversations, and ratings. They got the attention, that’s what networks do. They succeeded. IMHO, we can’t always blame the media, they’re not the ones who make US comment on this stuff. WE take that upon ourselves thus giving them what they want. We’re as much to blame as they are. Law and Order is NOTORIOUS for addressing issues that stir real life drams. Yes, it happened four years ago…..but here we are, four years later talking about it, responding, sitting in judgement, showing our support or discontent with both people. The reason L&O SVU jumped on this now is simply because it became relavant again.

WHAT’S wrong with you?? Why would a TV show affect me?? I am beginning to seriously believe you have some mental issues, you should get help!! It was a show not REALITY!! You obviously must be emotionally scarred from the DV you went through while growing up GET THE HELP YOU NEED before the cycle continues yes, CB and RIH are together the heart can’t help who it LOVES!! You are way too invested in these CELEB’S personal lives BTW did you answer my question why if CB is abusive didn’t any of his exes came forward is he only abusive with RIH?? He must be a SELECTIVE ABUSER if there is such a thing lol Instead of writing trash please answer my question SMGH!!

Law and Order is a show and a very good one the story line is based on CB and RIH DV incident but the majority of it was fiction!! I don’t think they were trying to influence CB and RIH’S relationship I think it is more like ratings, based on the premise of Law and Order as a show I doubt that they would have made the ending a happy ever after!!

SVU has covered TONS of stories over the years that have actually happend. Yall must not watch the show on the regular. Calm Down! If RIRI and Chris would stop making the relationship so public (get off twitter/instagram) it would not be in the news so much, there would not be a story for us to comment on, and perhaps there would not have been an episode to view last night!

Boy the blog is fired up today isn’t it!!! I think part of why so many people are offended at last nights episode is because for the past 4 years we’ve heard reports about what happend that night. We saw pictures from that night, however when it is recreated ( For TV) based on some actual events, it becomes to unbearable for some people. Folks thats called denial!!!!!! I said months ago that i would never celebrate a woman goin back to her abuser, and i stand by that! SoRRY. I believe Chris deserves a second chance and Im rooting for him, HOWEVER when RIRI herself stated there had been MULTIPLE incidents of DV befor that night. That was a wrap for me**I also stated a few months ago that I grew up in a household with DV, and it does happen again. It can be a few months, or few years, but it wil happen again……….but thats ya girl. So yall keep rooting for RIRI, and I’ll pray that she learns to duck and weave alittle better.
****The sad part is you guys will never know if she is being abused again because she will never tell anyone out of shame, and no one will care!

Now I know why you write the things you do you were personally affected by DV the sad part is you are channeling your experience into CB and RIH’S lives, you don’t know these CELEBS and can’t dictate to them what they should do with their private lives I truly believe you need some counseling it will help you with your demons BTW if CB was a repeat offender why have none of his exes came forward to say that they were a victim??? Serious question!! As I have said before I am no CB fan I am a just curious to know how you came up with the idea that he is a repetitive abuser?? Ooh I get it only with RIH, the delusion is real SMGH

I’m sorry, no matter which episode of the Law and Order franchise you watch, over the years they’ve covered a multitude of controversial topics loosely based on real life events. This is the appeal. Unless you’re an avid fan of the show then you may not know that race is not now, nor has it ever been a defining factor. They’ve done shows based on the Bush Administration and “torture techniques” used at Guantanamo Bay.

I actually like Law and Order the story line is based on RIH and CB’S DV incident from 4 years ago unfortunately this did happen, as far as how the story continued and ended it is all fiction!!! Why would anyone expect the writer would have made this into a Love Story?? It is Law and Order filled with a lot of sensationalism do I believe that CB and RIH’S relationship will end up this way?? I truly believe it won’t CB has done a lot for DV, donation etc For the people who are saying RIH is stupid for going back to CB just remember this “LET HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE” we are not GOD so we can’t JUDGE anyone!! For the people who are saying young girls look up to RIH why is RIH the only one being held accountable as a ROLE MODEL for other people’s children when there are plenty of other young female artists ex BRITNEY SPEARS(married a man whose girlfriend was pregnant at the time she got involved with him, used drugs, nervous breakdown, shaved head to mask drug use and no longer have custody of her children) Lindsay Lohan(known drug addict, in and out of jail etc) Taylor Swift(change her men more often than her underwear) and let’s not talk about Myley Cyrus where are there accountability Once again CELEBS ARE NOT YOUR CHILDREN ROLE MODEL that is your job as a parent instead of letting them have instagram/twitter accounts you should encourage them to read more books instead of buying them i-tunes let them get a library card etc RAISE YOUR OWN KIDS instead of trying to blame CELEBS for your short-comings as a parent ;) Anyway I will still watch Law and Order one of my favorite shows and I wish CB and RIH the best!!

Love law and order but I REFUSED to watch last nights episode. Of course it was based on CB and Rihanna but if the media TRUELY looks at Rihanna as a victim why do they keep rehashing the worst night of her life. I have said it before and will say it again—If it were white people involved lets say Charlie Sheen/Denise Richards— the media would have never plastered the pic of her face on the cover of magazines and 4 yrs later it would definitely not be still front page news. Since so many young white girls admire rihanna the ‘white’ media is trying to control her.

It is so sad that this young lady does not love or respect herself. Why? Would you want to be with someone who does not respect you or himself. No matter how many records you sell. You need to take a long and hard look in the mirror. This is sad. This Chris Brown is a nut. A walking time bomb. He has self hatred for himself and others. Every where he goes trouble follows him. He is bad.
