Oscars 2013 Trends -- Metallic Gowns Shine On The Red Carpet

Vanessa, Heidi, Catherine and Naomi are just a few of the celebrities who donned gorgeous metallic dresses at the 85th Annual Academy Awards on Feb. 24 — did you like these looks?

The Oscars is known for awesome fashion trends! HollywoodLife.com noticed that at the Oscars on Feb. 24, tons of celebs like Vanessa Hudgens wore metallic dresses and we loved it!

Celebs Rock The Carpet In Metallic Dresses

Naomi Watts looked striking in a custom Armani Prive gown, Vanessa opted to wear Moschino, Michelle Obama was stunning in Naeem Khan, and Catherine Zeta Jones stunned in Zuhair Murad.

Other celebs rocked the look too like Heidi Klum wore a Julien McDonald gown to Elton John‘s Oscars party. Nicole Kidman looked totally sparkly in her blue Oscar de la Renta gown, Halle, wore a plunging Versace dress, and George Clooney‘s girlfriend wore a Naeem Khan dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

It was such a gorgeous night for fashion and so many different looks were seen on the carpet. Besides metallics, we saw some massive couture gowns.

Jessica Chastain, wore an Armani Prive gown that fit her perfectly. Anne Hathaway opted for Armani, although many didn’t like her bust line. Anne’s Les Miserables co-star Amanda Seyfried opted to wear Alexander McQueen, while Reese Witherspoon wore a gorgeous Louis Vuitton gown that she said her 13-year-old daughter, Ava, helped her pick out.

Celebs really brought their A-game to the event and it was so exciting to see everyone looking so beautiful. We really felt like the metallic looks were totally hot this year and it was definitely something different that added a fresh edge to the red carpet.
