Seth MacFarlane Oscars Host: 'Side Boob Is Unacceptable At Oscars'

Oscar nominated actresses would have received a memo from Seth MacFarlane’s ‘Family Guy’ dad Peter if he had his way, the host reveals in a pre-Oscars interview. Would they and their cleavage had been offended?

Seth MacFarlene,39, probably didn’t expect that making fashion dictates about the sexy attire of Oscar-nominated actresses would be a high priority for him when he agreed to hosting duties — but that was before the Grammys banned side boob and other female anatomy for their show.

Now MacFarlane, speaking in character as Family Guy‘s Peter Griffin, makes an important announcement for female attendees before tonight, Feb 24′s Oscar broadcast at 8 pm ET. “We don’t want to be like CBS, so I would say, as much front boobs as you want to show — side boob is unacceptable — but front boob is encouraged.”

Got that Jennifer Lawrence, Best Actress nominee, who flashed some elegant side boob, at the Independent Spirit Awards on Feb. 23?

The Family Guy creator also reveals that his Family Guy character Stewie wouldn’t have hired him for the Oscar hosting gig: “I would have gone with someone with a little more experience, like the cashier at Vons (a supermarket) at Beverly Blvd and La Brea.”

And he promises not to aim too high tonight. He’ll be happy to be “as Jack Black says — ‘serviceable’”.

Well let’s hope that he’s at least that good after the widely panned as lame hosting performances of Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway and former nominee James Franco in 2011. It took veteran host, Billy Crystal, to save the day in 2012.

So how do you feel knowing that MacFarlane isn’t holding the bar too high for himself tonight. Listen to this: “I know my hosting duties will be successful if it doesn’t end with me locked in a castle surrounded by villagers with torches and pitchforks — that will be victory!”
