From Kristen Stewart to Jessica Chastain and Jennifer Lawrence, the red carpet at the 85th Annual Academy Awards in LA on Feb. 24 was full of so many of our favorite stylish stars — and they certainly didn’t disappoint! These gorgeous gals brought out their best for one of the biggest nights of the year, and we can’t get enough of all the glitz and glam on the red carpet. We would expect nothing less, considering it is one of the most fashionable nights in Hollywood!
The Best Dresses Of The 85th Academy Awards
Jessica Chastain, a major nominee of the evening, exuded old Hollywood glamour is an Armani Prive gown that fit her frame like a glove. The strapless embellished frock allowed the star to flaunt her curves thanks to the mermaid silhouette while soft, retro waves and a red lip added to the theme of her Oscar ensemble. Even if she doesn’t take home an award at the show she’s already winning in our book!
Anne Hathaway opted for a pale pink Prada gown that seemed to raise some eyebrows. While the silhouette was neat and chic and the open back was sexy, the top didn’t really flatter the star’s chest — in fact, it drew way too much attention to that area! Her Les Miserables co-star Amanda Seyfried also wowed the crowd, opting for a custom-made, lavender Alexander McQueen gown on the red carpet.
We saw a slew of pastels at the award show, making it one of the biggest trends of the night — but that didn’t mean everyone shied away from beautiful brights!
Reese Witherspoon also worked the old Hollywood trend on the red carpet, sporting soft, retro waves styled to one side and a form-fitting, strapless blue Louis Vuitton gown that really allowed the star to flaunt her curves — and she said her 13-year-old daughter, Ava, helped her pick out her Oscar look! Isn’t that so sweet? Louis Vuitton jewels completed the ensemble.
Jennifer Aniston stepped out of her comfort zone and left her basic black gowns at home, wowing the crowd in a vibrant red Valentino frock.
