So tragic. Reeva’s family was reportedly notified by police that her skull was bashed in by a cricket bat, allegedly wielded by Oscar Pistorius.
Reeva Steenkamp’s grieving relatives were reportedly told by police that Oscar Pistorius murdered their daughter, using a cricket bat before allegedly shooting her.
Injuries consistent with being hit with the bat were also evident on Reeva’s head when her family viewed her body before cremation, The Mail reports.
Oscar was granted bail on Feb. 22 because the South African court decided that he is not a flight risk. It was at his bail hearing that Oscar admitted a blood-stained bat was found in his home, but it was because the famed South African athlete claims he used it to break down the bathroom door when he realized he shot Reeva and not an intruder.
Oscar shot and killed his model girlfriend in his home and he’s been charged with pre-meditated murder. The “Blade Runner” claims he thought an intruder was in his house when he shot his gun through a locked bathroom door on February 14. He then realized his mistake, broke down the door and tried to revive Reeva.
Oscar “will have to live with his conscience” if he is lying about what happened, Reeva’s father Barry Steenkamp said on Feb. 22.
And just when Reeva’s family was reportedly given the bad news about the cricket bat, it was revealed that Oscar’s brother, Carl Pistorius, is facing culpable homicide charges in the death of a motorcyclist.

This is false tabloid reporting. The wounds found on Reeva’s body were only those from the bullets. This was one of the reasons he was granted bail. The state case was found to be weaker than the defence at this point. In South Africa an accused is innocent until proven guilty. Sadly it seems not to be so in Holywood.
