Jennifer won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ on Feb. 24 and she fell when she was walking up the stairs to accept the award.

Jennifer Lawrence fell on the most important day of her career and handled herself with total grace. The 22-year-old was walking up to get her Oscar at the 85th Annual Academy Awards and she fell! The entire audience gasped but she continued to smile and even made a joke about it during her speech!

Jennifer Lawrence FALLS At Oscars

The actress was walking up in her gorgeous white gown and she fell while walking up the stairs to the stage. When she finally got to the mic she joked and said “Don’t clap for me because you feel sorry for me because I fell.” She just smiled, giggled and kept going. Her speech was short and sweet — she is such a cool girl!

JLaw’s History Of Being Clumsy

We told you that Jennifer fell on Feb. 8 in London and lost one of her heels on the way to a pre BAFTA dinner. Then, her dress at the SAG Awards looked like it ripped. Jennifer actually talked about the incident to Piers Morgan: “My pants fell off!” she said. “Somebody trips me on the way, I remember that. I’m keepin’ it together, keepin’ it together … and then my pants fall off! Yep! Oh, god.”

Were you shocked to see Jennifer fall during the show? We felt awful for her but she definitely handled herself so well. This is just another example why she is Hollywood’s golden girl right now and deserved to win!

Bonnie & Chloe, have you considered how pathetic two grown women arguing about someone falling up a step really is?

The fall was no accident.
It was done to stir emotion in the crowd and to get people talking after the show and on web sites the next day. Remember the dress incident the last time she was walking up stairs and the dress appeared to pull-apart?

Her journey is a TRUE definition of ” hard work pays off ” …frankly. I could care less if she falls here and there for the platform she constantly performs on is well balanced!!! Testimony. ” awarded” …..

Jennifer is amazing. She’s funny and she knows how to joke about her own clumsiness. She’s cute and talented and I’m sure she was able to handle the situation well at the oscars.

@SO no, Kslut is known as a slut for screwing married men behind her boyfriends back, not for flipping the bird you brainless idiot. JL has a genuine talent and beauty and has won a leading actress oscar to show for it. All Kslut has is a nasty rash from the directors couch and a name as a dirty cheat that can not act and can only dream to achieve what JL has. Kslut can not even present an award without scratching her nits and looking like she can’t read or walk, No wonder Daniel Radcliffe was looking at her as she looked like she was drugged up, which she probably was.

I officially think chivalry is dead! what happened to a man walking the woman up to the stage?
Even when Kristen Stewart hobbled out Daniel could have caught her arm to help her to the mic.
I don’t think I saw one man besides Channing Tatum being a gentleman at the right time tonight.
I was very surprised by Dan though, aren’t British men suppose to be more chivalrous than American men?
She wouldn’t have fallen if a gentleman had done the right thing by offering he his arm.

Wanda – Why should Dan touch her? He has heard the stories about her hygiene and could smell her a mile off, i would not get near her either!

@Sam So you know how she smells? You know her on a personal level and can comment on her hygiene? I think not! No matter what she has done in her personal life it’s nobodies damn business but the people involved. I just thought British men were gentlemen. No matter who she is she was injured and could’ve used a hand to get to the mic. Chivalry is so damn dead and you Sam are a perfect example of that!

Hugh Jackman rushed to help her the second she fell, and while I feel bad she fell, I think it made her seem ‘human’ and not just some celeb.

@Mina I get what you are saying yeah it made her look human, but it still doesn’t help the fact not one man took it upon himself to escort her to the stage. Sure Hugh went to help after she fell. I’m just saying a man should’ve been escorting her to the stage. They used to do that all the time and suddenly it just disappeared!

@Wanda, did you even watch the oscars. Daniel offered her his arm and she refused to take it. He was the perfect gentleman, its not his problem if she fell on her face after her brush off.

i don’t know who did/didn’t help her, but, if they can afford to pay pretty girls to escort people off stage (do they still do that?), they certainly should have some men in flat shoes to help contestants up the stairs! i mean, i don’t understand why there haven’t been more falls! heels, poofy dress, no banister, and the nerves that go with the eyes of the world watching you… i mean, c’mon! that said, i’m starting to like jl more these days… she’s kind of funny.

Wanda, I agree with you about wondering why none of the men helped her up those stairs. I’ve seen that done at other award shows.

If I was Dior I’d think twice before dressing her again…she’s had issues w every Dior gown she’s worn this award season! I’m only thrilled that the actress w/the mist applause was little Q…I was so hoping that Oscar would actually get a set of balls this year and skip the junior high clique…alas not aj much. I guess there’s hope for next year….
