‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,’ along with stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson lead the pack with a whopping 7 ‘wins’ at the 2013 Golden Raspberry Awards. Do YOU think they deserved the diss?
Breaking Dawn Part 2 got slammed at the Razzies on Feb. 23, an Academy Awards spoof that hands out prizes for Hollywood’s lousiest movies on the eve of the Oscars.
The final installment of the Twilight saga managed to take home 7 “wins” including Worst Picture, Worst Actress (Kristen Stewart) Worst Supporting Actor (Taylor Lautner), Worst Screen Couple (Lautner and 12 year-old Mackenzie Foy) and Worst Screen Ensemble, which included Robert Pattinson.
The film also picked up Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel and Worst Director for Bill Condon, making the fifth and final Twilight film 2012′s most-RAZZed movie.
But fret not! Breaking Dawn Part 2 may have taken home the most awards this year, but they didn’t do as bad as Adam Sandler’s Jack & Jill, which managed to take home 10 awards — in every category it was nominated for.
Plus, sad news for Rihanna — she picked up an award for Worst Supporting Actress, making her big screen debut in Battleship a total flop.

I think people are just tired of this franchise and will be glad when it’s “in the past” and we don’t have to hear about it anymore. True it was good, but it’s time to move on. It also doesn’t help that everytime one of the starts are in the media, they have to bring up that they were in this series. How long will that go on?

I think that the final Twilight film did not deserve any razzies, it was decent and not the worst film of the year. But, because it was the final film, I think that the razzies decided it was their last chance to give them all the awards. While I think one of the twilight films did deserve a razzie, this one did not. Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as well as director Bill Condon didn’t deserve their razzies for this film either.

Movies like this are for entertainment, nothing else, it isn’t a documentary where there are things that are educational in them.. Any award a movie or actor/actress gets is good publicity regarless if it’s an Oscar(which in my opinion is a load of BS) or a Razzie. They are all popularity contests, and rarely have anything to do with talent. Why can’t you just like a movie for what it is, people that analyze a movie like Twilight are ridiculous…It’s a vampire love story for crying out loud..It’s not trying to solve all the worlds problems..it’s very entertaining to some, not so to others..fine don’t watch it if it’s not your thing, but to bash it constantly just makes you annoying as all hell. We are all entitled to an opinion of course, but when you bring in catty name calling, just shows your lack of self esteem and maturity.

So funny how rob didn’t get one, I just think critics hate twilight because they think the plot of the whole entire franchise is based on nothing!! Is pretty sad>>> here the critics make their own judgement however is the actors of the franchise who scooped a lot of fame which made them more recognised in the movie industry, and pretty much most of them are in it for a long time.
To Ana, Rob didn’t get one because of Adam Sandler, Adam is just awful, most likely if Adam did not have have movie this time Rob would have gotten a razzie like Kristen. But they don’t care they are all laughing all the way to the bank. Like someone else said, any PR is good for them.

For those of you who keep commenting to us NON-fans because ‘Stephenie Meyer is laughing all the way to the bank… The only reason THAT happened is because YOU all allowed her to force this incredibly dysfunctional story down our throats like this AFTER we were SCREAMING our issues about it.
Basically, the way they filmed BDp1 AND BDp2 is a great big huge FLIP OFF to MANY of her FORMER FANS – not to mention the ENTIRE WORLDWIDE VAMPIRE FANDOM (those of us who weren’t obsessed with Twilights not-even-SORT-of ‘Vamps”, anyway.
SMeyer could have written ANY ‘ol ending in Breaking Dawn – and that’s obvsioulsy what she did. The fans she ‘accidentally’ got addicted to her story because of the irresponsible way she wrote it would have LAPPED UP whatever PISS she wrote like honey.
This entire ‘blockbuster saga’ was built off of DEBATES, not good storytelling!! If you would like the COMPLETE explanation that officially DEBUNKS the Twilight Saga storyline, so a search for ‘explain twilight breaking dawn ending on blogspot’ – you’ll find EVERYTHING you need to know and ALOT more than you EVER wanted, LoL!

Dear hollywoodlife.com,
If you want to be considered a reliable source, please use proper spelling and grammar. In this particular article, please edit your paragraph about Rihanna. She can’t win “an awards”, she won *an award. No s on the end of award. This is not the first time that there has been grammatical and spelling errors in your work, and I don’t expect this to be the last. Please be sure to check your work, as this friendly reminder about the importance of grammar and spelling is coming from a 15 year old. You’re welcome. :)

Cue the Twi-hard meltdown over this news. I think Kristen’s cheating scandal put her over the top for her Razzie (noticed Rob was spared an individual win); it just motivated people to make sure she took one home. The “ick” factor of a young adult imprinting on an infant made Taylor a lock for his two Razzies. Bill Condon’s ego may be bruised by his worst director Razzie. Summit may like the money Twilight makes, but the worst picture, sequel and ensemble Razzies are dings on the studio. Although some play it off, this is one award no one wants to “win”. The trick is how to handle it. Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock, both Oscar winners, showed up and accepted their Razzies. Not showing up and being good sports announces to the world you’re hurt by this.

I’m not too worried about these stupid razzie awards because when MTV does their movie awards, Breaking Dawn part 2 will when movie of the year just like the last 4 years. These awards are stupid, critiques need an awards show to make them feel good about dissing movies. Some of those movies I’ve never heard of till now. Oh we’ll, guess every movie has bad critiques.

Taylor is an okay actor. I don’t see him winning an Oscar in the future, unless he gets better or lucks out in a role that truly fits him. That being said he isn’t the worst out there and doesn’t deserve a Razzie for BD part 2. I think it was the best one out of them all, maybe thats why it made a boatload of money.

ruby is right.
