Rebecca On Kelly Ripa’s Oscars Makeup
“I wanted to give Kelly something different than her usual. I wanted to accentuate her beautiful blue eyes. Her dress was sweet and classic and I wanted to give her a little more edge for the occasion,” Rebecca says. She used Elizabeth Arden’s Beautiful Color Smokey Eyes Pencil in Gunmetal, Lash Enhancing Mascara in Black, Beautiful Color Radiance Blush in Sweet Pink and Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss in Rosegold.
Rebecca spoke to HollywoodLife.com exclusively about the hair and makeup at the Oscars!
What will be the big hair trend at the Oscars?
“I think we’ll see hair with some sort of volume at the crown of the head or hair that has a severe side part this year,” Rebecca says.
What will be the big makeup trend?
“Bold makeup has been a huge trend this season, so expect to see a lot of bright lips or rich, deep matte shades. We may also see some variations of blues on the eyes. I’d also expect to see well defined eyes which has been a big favorite recently.”
Rebecca’s Tips For Real Women
How can women make sure their lipstick lasts all night long?
“I always say a great way to make sure your lipstick lasts all day is by using a lip liner. The liner acts as an anchor to the lipstick so it adheres and has a clean finish. Using a bit of face primer on the lips can work too and helps to ensure the wear of your color.”
Which stars do you look forward to seeing on the red carpet?
“Everyone! I love looking at all the stars because you never know who will take a risk that pays off. It’s exciting to see which star translates a runway-to-red-carpet look best.”
How can women re-create the looks they see on the red carpet into everyday wear?
“The best way to recreate the looks from the red carpet into an everyday look is by picking one feature of the look and making it more simple. This helps tone the look down so it isn’t too much at once.”
What are some of your favorite Elizabeth Arden products?
“Some of my favorite Elizabeth Arden products are the Ceramide capsules for both face and eye, I love how hydrating they are to the skin. I also love the Visible Difference Good Morning Retexturizing Primer to prep the skin, Ceramide Skin Smoothing Loose Powder, Beautiful Lash Enhancing Mascara and Beautiful Luminous Lip Gloss. I love that Elizabeth Arden’s color products also have skincare benefits so I know they are caring for my skin while providing great color!”
