Silas? Elena? Bonnie’s Mom? (Just kidding, she sucks.) Vote for the character YOU think deserves the cure!
In the world of The Vampire Diaries, the cure is the new moonstone; everybody wants to get their dirty little vampire hands on it. Unfortunately, as we learned on the Feb. 14 episode, only one person will get their wish as only a single dose exists. And now that Silas’ resurrection has begun — thanks a lot, Katherine! — this question has never been more important: Who should get the cure?
Who I Think Should Get The Cure: Silas
Let’s be real for a second: Regardless of which vampires thinks they deserve it most, and they’ve all pleaded their cases pretty strongly, their arguments are moot now that Katherine (Nina Dobrev) set Silas’ revival in motion. Not only is he immortal, but his overall badass-ery makes Klaus (Joseph Morgan) look like a puppy dog in comparison. In case you haven’t heard, one of Silas’ main functions is to raise the dead — and it’s safe to say the Mystic Falls gang has a ton of dead enemies out there.
Force-feeding him the cure is the only known way to take out Silas, and as a big fan of the characters on the show, I’d very much like to see them defeat their enemy and survive for another season.
Who I Think Will Get The Cure: Elena
Because the Mystic Falls gang has become really good at finding loopholes — remember when we all thought you could “never” kill an Original? — I think it’s safe to assume our heroes will find a way to take down Silas, even if the cure isn’t in their arsenal. Which brings me to Elena…
So much of this season’s drama has centered around one question: ‘How would Elena’s feelings about Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) change if she became human again?’ And with the Originals running out of time on the show — they’ll disappear at the end of the season to headline The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals — the focus will likely move back to the Gilbert/Salvatore love triangle.

TVD will be jumping the shark if Elena gets it. Oh she’s a vampire! No wait! She’s human again! Gimme a break. I hope the writers can do better than that.
