Adele was not fighting Chris at the Grammys on Feb. 10. She was singing his praises, and Chris is thankful that she’s setting the record straight! Read their tweets.

Chris Brown has had his fair share of altercations around Grammy time (most notably when he assaulted Rihanna in 2009), but an alleged brawl with Adele during the Feb. 10 awards ceremony did not happen, both stars reveal on Twitter.

An initial report claimed that Adele told Chris off when he “snubbed Frank Ocean” at the Grammys, refusing to stand up when the new artist went up to accept his award.

Adele, 24, was said to have told Chris how disappointed she was in him for acting like such a brat.

However, Adele went to Twitter to refute the claims, based solely on a photo. “Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually,” she tweeted on Feb. 13.

Chris tweeted on Feb. 14, “Pleasure to meet u @OfficialAdele. I heard your words and thats all that matters. Thank u for speaking truth. CB.”

At the Feb. 10 awards show, Chris stayed seated when Frank went up to accept his very first award for Best Urban Contemporary Album — a category that Chris was also nominated in. The rest of the crowd gave Frank a standing ovation.

Three weeks earlier, police in Los Angeles were called to a recording studio, when Chris, 23, and Frank, 25, allegedly fought over a parking space.
