Passengers aboard the Carnival cruise ship Triumph have suffered through horrific conditions for four days — including no power, no running water and a food shortage — and terrified children have been sobbing to their parents at home about the frightening ride set to dock late on Feb. 14.

A relaxing vacation turned into a dangerous nightmare for passengers aboard Carnival cruise ship Triumph after the boat lost power on Feb. 10 — and 4,000 passengers were stranded without power, food or running water for days. As the boat is being towed slowly to a Mobile, Ala. dock, children fear for their lives as the conditions on the ship grow scarier by the hour.

One passenger, Allie Taylor, sobbed on the phone with her mom about the horrifying conditions on the boat. She was traveling with her father, but called her mother at home Kim McKerreghan, and said she wanted he mom to come rescue her from the “scary” boat.

Another terrified child, Rebekah Poret, had been crying on the phone with her mom too during their phone chats. But she was given an incredible opportunity when a CNN helicopter flew over the cruise ship, and she got to wave at the chopper — and her mom saw her on TV!

“I love you,’ Rebekah said to her mom on the phone. “I can’t wait to see you. I can’t wait to be back home.”

“I love you too,” her mom answered back. “I promise I’m going to have a nice snuggly blanket for you when I see you. Anything you want to eat tonight is yours.”

An End To The Carnival Cruise Horror

The ship is set to dock late in Mobile, Ala. on Feb. 14 after four days without power after a small fire on Feb. 10 caused the ship to lose power. It was being slowly dragged back to the United States by four tug boats.

Passengers reported urine and feces in the hallway, and no hot food available, forced to dine only on cold sandwiches with condiments.

Those on ship will receive a full refund for their vacation, and each get $500 for their pain and suffering. They were also offered a 25 percent discount on futre three to five day cruises, and 15 percent discount on a six or seven day cruise.
