Beyonce is expanding the release of her documentary, ‘Life Is But A Dream,’ on Feb. 16 with an hour-long interview with Oprah Winfrey. She’ll talk about her sexy life with Jay-Z, her baby Blue Ivy and firing her dad/manager Mathew Knowles. Watch the preview.

Beyonce severed professional ties with her father Mathew Knowles in 2011. While many assumed it was because he cheated on Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, and fathered a child outside of his marriage, there were deeper, professional issues that caused the split.

“Talk some about letting your father go as your manager,” Oprah Winfrey asks Beyonce during the one-hour interview special, which will air at 8PM ET on OWN, before her documentary debuts on HBO at 9PM ET.

Beyonce says, “It took a while for me and my dad to have an understanding. When I turned 18 and started handling my business more, he went into shock. And we had our issues. I’d say ‘No’ to something, and he’d book it anyway. Then I’d have to do it because I’d look bad [if I didn't]. We would fight sometimes, and it took about two years, to when I was 20, for him to realize, ‘Oh, she is an adult now, and if she doesn’t wanna do something, I can’t make her do it.’”

Tina filed for divorces from Mathew on November 11, 2009, after several reports about Mathew’s affair with actress Alexsandra Wright had surfaced. Alexsandra has a son, Nixon, who was proven to be Mathew’s after a paternity test was issued.

What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? What are you hoping Beyonce talks about with Oprah?
