Rihanna must have been carrying her ‘umbrella’ at the Grammys because there was so much shade being thrown around! According to a new report, Katy and RiRi refused to sit next to each other at the Feb. 10 awards ceremony because the ‘Teenage Dream’ singer doesn’t approve of Rihanna’s relationship with Chris Brown!
Rihanna and Katy Perry were once inseparable — that is until Chris Brown came back into the picture. Katy reportedly doesn’t approve of RiRi’s relationship with Chris, and her feelings caused a lot of frustration for staffers in charge of seat assignments at the Feb. 10 Grammy Awards.
“Such a headache!” an insider tells Us Weekly magazine.
Rihanna, 24, and Katy, 28, reportedly refused to sit near each other.
“They aren’t tight anymore because Katy doesn’t approve of Rihanna dating Chris Brown,” the insider adds.
The Kiss That Ended It All
As far back as November, reports suggested that Rihanna’s relationship with Chris caused a rift between her relationship with Katy.
“They’re barely talking and ever since the couple reunited, there has been tension between them. Katy has been spending a lot of time with pals Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Katy fears Rihanna is making a huge mistake and doesn’t want to be part of it,” a source in Katy’s camp told Confidenti@l at the time.
The last time Katy and Rihanna were spotted together was during the MTV Video Music Awards, where Rihanna planted her first kiss on Chris — publicly — since their break up in 2009.
UPDATE: It’s true! A source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Katy made the special request.

and katy perry knows so much about life, how can you befriend someone and then bail out when you don’t like who that person is with. like everything else in hollywood it was fake to begin with.
but just like everything else time will tell. also rihianna is the only person who has to deal with her own feelings and her own relationships. and like grandma used to say when you get tired, you’ll know when you’ve had enough.
