Former basketball star’s son, Conner, has been arrested for allegedly trying to hit his girlfriend with his car.
Former Boston Celtics and 12-time NBA All-Star Larry Bird is back in the headlines, and for all the wrong reasons. Larry’s 21-year-old son Conner Bird was arrested on Feb. 10 by the Indiana University campus police, after he allegedly tried to run down his girlfriend with his car. Thankfully, he was unsuccessful.

Here is the police report: “IU student, Conner Anthony Bird; DOB: 07/02/1991 was arrested for Intimidation with a deadly weapon, Criminal Mischief, Battery with injury, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. Officer Moulden was flagged down by complainant, female student DOB:1992, who advised she was being followed by her ex-boyfriend.”
The statement continues: “She advised she had an argument earlier in the day with Bird. During that argument, Bird threw a cell phone at her, striking her on the wrist. She stated this incident happened at Bird’s apartment in Smallwood Apartment. She stated she immediately left and walked home where Bird was waiting for her outside. She stated she got into the his car to talk and they drove to the white lot where another argument took place. During this argument, she exited the vehicle to walk home. After leaving the vehicle, she stated Bird began accelerating through the lot and attempted to hit her twice. She stated she ran away and found another female sitting in a car inside the lot who took her to IUPD. The vehicle description he was driving was dispatched to all officers and he was located and interviewed. After being interviewed, Bird was arrested and transported to the jail.”
That is quite a list…
This is not the first time Conner has been arrested, and he was reportedly cuffed in 2011 for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.
