Grammy Awards 2013 Cutout Dress Trend: Taylor Swift & More

The red carpet at the 2013 Grammy Awards was full of daring and interesting looks, but one trend rose to the top! From Taylor Swift to Alicia Keys, Kelly Osbourne to Kelly Rowland, one thing was clear: cutouts were the ‘IT’ trend on Feb. 10!

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards may have issued a wardrobe advisory in the days leading up to the big night at the Staples Center in L.A., but the women of the music industry certainly weren’t going to let that stand in their way on Feb. 10, a fact made perfectly clear by the sexy cutout dresses worn by the likes of Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, and Kelly Rowland!

Taylor, 23, rocked a sexy white J. Mendel gown accented with silver cutouts baring her back. She looked gorgeous and all grown-up in the dress, but she was just one of many singing superstars who participated in the cutout trend during the evening!

Alicia, 32, strode down the red carpet in a stunning black Alaia dress with cutouts that created a dominatrix-like bodice, providing a peekaboo of the singer’s abs and back! Coupled with her sleek, slicked-back hair and red lipstick, the “Girl On Fire” singer was positively smoldering!

One artist who seemed to laugh in the face of the wardrobe advisory was Kelly, 32. The former Destiny’s Child member wowed in a black Georges Chakra Couture gown, which had strategically-placed cutouts over her cleavage, midriff, and thighs.

Another Kelly joined in on the fashion trend — Kelly Osbourne! The Fashion Police host, 28, wore a Paule Ka gown that played it relatively safe, only exposing bits of skin on her sides.

The evening’s other cutout queens included Karlie Kloss in Michael Kors, Natasha Bedingfield in Emerson, Amber Rose in Donna Karan, Chrissy Teigen in Joy Ciocci, and Ashanti in Tony Ward Couture.
