The designer’s collection was perfect for the city gal on the go — and we think it would look great on the stars who took in the runway show from the front row!
The DKNY Fall 2013 collection was tough girl chic, with form-fitting frocks, long-sleeved knit dresses, layered separates and outerwear on the runway at the Fall 2013 fashion show at Cedar Lake in NYC on Feb. 10. Bright pops of lipstick red and vibrant hot pink added a fresh burst of color to the collection, which colorblocked items in neutrals such as camel, black and white completed the color palette.
The face of the brand, Ashley Greene, would look fantastic in the form-fitting dresses. The long-sleeved looks can easily take the working girl from desk-to-dinner and the brand stayed true to it’s NYC asthetic with stylish yet functional pieces. All in all, the looks were super wearable, with effortless fall maxis closing out the collection.
The designer played with texture, combining neoprene and wool. The result? Very cool outerwear that’s also very necessary in the fall and winter in NYC. We also saw a leopard print plastered on wool sweaters that came down the runway while models carried roomy, practical bags — a necessity for every city girl.
It wasn’t just about body-con frocks and maxis — the show also had a flirty vibe and I thought the a-line looks would be great for Victoria Justice.
The looks were finished off with sleek, straight locks that hung down the backs of the models with a deep middle part.
