Chris, 23, dissed Frank, 25, by remaining in his seat while the rest of the Staples Center gave him a standing ovation. Sore loser much?
Chris Brown and Frank Ocean‘s ongoing battle moved to a different arena Feb. 10 when the artists were both up for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. Frank ended up winning, and even though he received a standing ovation from the entire Staples Center, Chris remained seated.
Frank’s acceptance speech was also pretty weird. He started by saying that, even though some people pretend the audience is naked in order to calm their nerves, he didn’t want to do that.
“I want to look at you as kids in tuxedos and being fancy and all that,” he told the crowd.
Frank won again in the category of Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “No Church In The Wild,” which he shared with Jay-Z, The-Dream and Kanye West, who wasn’t able to make it to the ceremony.
Chris Brown’s Feud With Frank Ocean
Chris and Frank’s troubles began Jan. 27 when the artists were involved in a brawl outside Westlake Studios in Los Angeles. Frank sustained several injuries and, according to the police report, Frank said Chris threatened to shoot him.
Despite the intense showdown, Frank publicly said he wouldn’t be pressing charges against Chris.
Clearly, the best revenge is a Grammys win!
HollywoodLifers, are you surprised Frank beat Chris at the Grammys? And do you think it was rude of Chris not to stand up and applaud for Frank? Drop us a comment with your thoughts on the boys’ Grammy showdown.
