Pattie Mallette is not afraid to talk about her son Justin Bieber‘s relationship with Selena Gomez. First, she called Selena a “sweetheart” on the TODAY show on Feb. 7. Now, she’s revealing the status of their relationship in a new interview!
Pattie Mallette Talks About Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez’s Relationship
Pattie, 37, opened up to AP when asked about her son’s relationship with the Wizards of Waverly Place actress.
“I have no idea if they’re on-again, off-again,” Pattie said. “It’s a constant thing. Today I’m not sure where they stand. I try to stay out of it. He’s 18. He doesn’t want me getting involved in his romantic life.”
We wish Pattie WOULD get involved! She reportedly wants them back together — and so do we!

Aside from Justin’s relationship status, Pattie also touched upon her son’s recent public striptease.
“I thought, I’m a mom, I don’t want to see that,” Pattie sighed, shaking her head, when asked about his butt pic. “I don’t want to see him doing that kind of stuff. But, you know, he’s 18. He’s making some of his own decisions and he’s going to make some mistakes and he’s going to make some good choices, too.”
