Meet baby Milan! Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard shared the first photo of their adorable baby boy — and instead of cashing in on the debut pic, they asked fans to donate to Unicef! How sweet!

In Hollywood, exclusive first photos of babies can mean a multimillion-dollar payout. But for Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Pique, the first pic of two-week-old baby Milan was shared for free on WhoSay — and the Hips Don’t Lie singer asked for donations to Unicef instead.

Shakira shared the adorable pic of baby Milan in a blue striped onesie, with proud dad Gerard gently kissing his baby boy’s cheek. Unicef is accepting donations in baby Milan’s name.

“We hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations,” the couple said. “Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us.”

Shakira Gives Birth To Baby Boy Milan Pique Mebarak

“We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born Jan. 22 at 9:36 p.m., in Barcelona, Spain,” the couple announced on their website.

“The name Milan (prononced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification. Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.”

Shakira is a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, and one of their global representatives, so it was so great of her to suggest donations instead of profiting off of the pics!

What do YOU think of the first pic of baby Milan HollyMoms? Isn’t he the cutest?

That baby looks so angelic right now that he’s a baby. And I’m sure Gerard and Shak will be great parents!

But my fiance and I personally wouldn’t want to have a boy. Both of us come from families with a lot of brothers and male cousins and it’s just sooooo much DRAMA and some of them have even been ARRESTED.

Males are very different from females in the sense that they EXTERNALIZE all of their negative feelings and thoughts meaning they are much more likely to act out against others in aggressive ways. They also are biologically much more prone to mental disorders such as Autism, attention deficit, hyperactivity and behavioral disorders. This is why you see that most Autistic kids are boys.

We are also afraid of the crime factor since we have seen it happen to the males in our own families. For every 1 woman in jail/prison there are 10 men. Meaning men are 10X more violent / aggressive / predatorial and criminal.

Plus there’s also the loyalty factor. I have brothers and they tend to be very selfish and don’t want to bother taking care of their parents when mom and dad get older. They basically just fly the nest and have no loyalty to their families.

My fiance is a great guy who is very sincere and loyal but he is also very REALISTIC. We understand that for single people it’s more difficult to find a “great guy” than a “great girl”. It’s harder to raise boys and there’s just a higher chance of something going wrong such as running into legal problems and/or behavioral problems. The lifetime prevalence rate of alcohol dependence is more than TWICE as high in men, and men are more than THREE times as likely to be diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder (most prisoners have some level of antisocial disorders which means a lack of self-control, sympathy for others, and a problem with authority).

My fiance has 2 nieces and 1 nephew (all grade school age). The nephew is a nightmare who NOBODY can stand to be around (his parents are even thinking of putting him on Ritalin). His nieces are adorable and charming and funny. And we love spending time with them. They are very balanced – spunky, energetic, love playing little league sports BUT also affectionate, sympathetic, and kind hearted.

So we do hope to have 2 – 3 little girls someday. There are books on how to conceive a certain gender by temporarily changing your diet and making other lifestyle changes. And now there are even clinics in the U.S. who can perform a gender selection medical procedure. Unfortunately, it is expensive. I wish Gerard and Shak all the best but I also know she will probably have a lot of challenges to deal with in raising a son especially one who is the child of famous and wealthy parents, who will grow up in the limelight and who will have many people catering to him.
