The two pregnant K’s have plenty in common these days. Let’s take a closer look at their baby bumps, and see how their pregnancies compare!
For starters, Kim Kardashian, 32, and Kate Middleton, 31, will be first time mothers with babies born in July! While the royal couple made their announcement on Dec.3, Kanye West revealed his good news several weeks later, on Dec. 30, while on stage in Atlantic City.
Is Kim Kardashian’s Pregnancy Further Along Than Kate’s?
Even though Kate’s baby news was announced first, Kim looks like she’s further along in her pregnancy–especially in the latest pics of the reality star going to the gym in Beverly Hills, compared to the recent photos of Kate with Prince William on their babymoon in the Carribean Islands.
“Kim and Kate have different body types,” pregnancy fitness expert and celebrity nutritionist, Lisa DeFazio, MS, RD tells HollyBaby.com exclusively. “Kim is more full figured, standing 5’2″, whereas Kate has a smaller frame, standing 5’10″. That’s a big difference and as a result they are going to carry their babies differently.”
Another explanation — Kim has been eating more! Her mom, Kris Jenner revealed her cravings to E! News, saying that her daughter was “craving giant cookies from BJs, French fries, Chinese chicken salad and artichokes.”
“It does appear that Kim is gaining weight more rapidly than Kate,” Lisa says. “As it was publicized, Kate suffered morning sickness so that slows down weight gain, as she can’t keep food down. Kim on the other hand, recently tweeted a picture of her breakfast — a McDonalds’ sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich.”
Is Kim Gaining Too Much Weight, Too Fast?
“In general, a woman at a healthy weight should only gain 25 to 35 lbs. during the entire pregnancy,” Lisa explains. “Kim appears to have already gained 20 pounds and she still has 5 months to go! Yes, she is exercising but my advice is to put as much effort into her diet as she is with her workouts!”
“My advice to Kim is to see a registered dietitian ASAP, who will guide her and help her keep her weight under control,” says Lisa.
“Kate may have the opposite problem and need to see a dietitian to help her gain weight,” says Lisa. “She may not have an appetite, but there are food combinations she can eat that are high in calories and are not overwhelming portions for her.”
As HollyBaby.com previously reported, Kate has been working with a hypnotherapist to help her with extreme morning sickness and her lack of desire to eat.
Are Kim & Kate Both Pregnant With Baby Boys?
We told you that Kanye is eager to have a baby boy — will he get his wish? Well it’s obviously too early to tell, but by the looks of it, a little Kimye Jr. may be in the making.
Lisa tells us, “Pregnant woman who are expecting boys tend to have a fuller, protruding belly, whereas those expecting little girls gain more weight in their back area.”
Baby Stresses
Kim and Kate have both been under a lot of stress while pregnant, as Kate went into hospital in December for extreme morning sickness, while Kim has been under huge stress because of her divorce proceeding with Kris Humphries. She is under so much stress that she has been calling doctors in the middle of the night, as she is suffering from severe pain.

Kate Middleton & Kim K — Banging While Pregnant
Both Kate and Kim decided to get bangs at pretty much the same time. About a week before the baby announcement, Kate got a brand new hairstyle with bangs. A little over a month and a half later, Kim decided to get bangs as well.
On Jan.15, Kim tweeted, “I cut my bangs for real! What do you guys think of my new look? Xo.”
Will K & K Bond Over Their Babies?
Kim has always been fond of the Duchess of Cambridge, and didn’t hesitate to congratulate her when she found out she was pregnant, tweeting, ““Awww so cute! Congrats!!!”

Let’s not compare a true lady, The Duchess, to Kartrashian. They are not in the same league. Kartrashian is not our version of a royal family. Not even close.
