New 'Iron Man 3' Trailer Premiering During Super Bowl -- Watch Preview

Before the full trailer premieres at the big game, watch this brand-new clip!

Iron Man 3 promises to be the most explosive installment yet in Robert Downey Jr.‘s high flying trilogy, so it’s only fitting that its latest trailer should premiere during the biggest televised event of the year: The Super Bowl!

New footage from the movie — hitting theaters in May 2013 — will be broadcast Feb. 3 during Super Bowl XLVII; and based on in this sneak-peek video, we’re going to see Iron Man and company at their lowest points.

In this preview clip for Sunday’s new trailer, we see Tony and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) blown to smithereens by Ben Kingsley‘s The Mandarin. We also see Don Cheadle‘s Rhody Rhodes in full War Machine garb — so maybe help is on the way!

Of course, Iron Man 3 is just one of the many movies getting the Super Bowl treatment this weekend.
