Sam, Blaine, Jake, Ryder and Brody all get naked in the Jan. 31 episode of ‘Glee.’ Grab an ice pack, because this episode’s a hot one!
Now that New Directions are qualified to compete in Regionals again, they decide to pull together a sexy photo shoot of the boys (hallelujah!) and put out a calendar to raise money for a bus ride to Indianapolis, Indiana — “the Paris of Indiana,” Artie (Kevin McHale) calls it on the Jan. 31 episode of Glee.
In similar “naked” news, Rachel (Lea Michele) is offered a role in a NYADA production, but is torn over what to do because the role requires her to go topless. She burts into an amazing rendition of Natalie Imbruligia’s ”Torn” before deciding to take the part.
Sam (Chord Overstreet) comes to school shirtless, ready to show off every inch of his body. Blaine (Darren Criss), already having a crush on the hunky blonde, couldn’t help but gasp, “oh, sweet merciful lord,” at the sight of Sam’s chiseled body.
Sam has the boys meet him in the locker room, so he can help whip everyone into shape. They do an awesome mashup of J Giels Band’s ”Centerfold” and Nelly’s “Hott In Here.”
Kurt (Chris Colfer) is not happy when he finds out that Rachel is taking the part in the play, which requires her to go topless. He calls her a “slutty barbie,” saying he misses the girl who used to dress in plaid skirts and pine over Finn (Cory Monteith). She claims that she “grew up,” and he should too.
Rachel gets to the student film set and she can’t go through with disrobing. The director is extremely mad because Rachel waited until the last minute to make this decision, but Rachel doesn’t care. She said she was being honest when she first accepted the role and she’s being honest now as well.
The episode ends with a group number to a song about a new year, and new beginnings.

Change of heart

So first off I am shocked that there was no mention of Santana and Quinn being in the episode. And I have decided that I love Jake and Marley together. I was originally rooting for her and Ryder but after Jake and Marley singing a thousand years together I fell for them as a couple. They are very sweet together. while I would have preferred Rachel and Finn or Kurt and Blaine to have been the couples to sing that song I thought it was very well done and made Marley and Jake a couple that people can root for. Also I hate kitty and wish they would drop her from the show. She is a terrible excuse for a wannabe Quinn and she brings nothing new or interesting to the show. The writers need to change it up. They can’t just trot out a new set of students who are mirror images of the original cast because they will never be as good. There are millions of people in the world to take inspiration from so make the new cast coming in fresh and different. We don’t want to watch a repeat of the last four years with a new mediocre cast molded to be the same as the old cast. If you can’t do that then move the show to New York and follow the original cast doing new and exciting things with fresh story lines. I like jake and marley but if they are going to be a repeat of Finn and Rachel then it’s a waste unless you can spice it up with fresh new actors who aren’t trying to fit the mold of the old cast. Make it fresh and different or move on. I still love glee and will watch it till they cancel it but its not what it used to be. I am hoping for better in the next few months.
