Leah’s pregnancy with then-fiance Jeremy Calvert was revealed on the Jan. 28 episode on ‘Teen Mom 2,’ but tragedy strikes the couple just a few short weeks later when they suffer a miscarriage. Will MTV air the depressing footage?
Leah Messer and Jeremy Calvert put their relationship on the fast track during season 3 of Teen Mom 2. Just months after they start dating, Jeremy pops the question — and Leah says yes!
The romantic gesture played out on the Jan. 28 episode of Teen Mom 2 (the proposal actually took place in December, 2011), and Leah and Jeremy soon gush about how excited they are to spend their lives together and have more kids.
Soon after their engagement, Leah takes out her birth control IUD in the hopes of having more kids, because she and Jeremy want to expand their family right away, but Leah finds out she’s pregnant much sooner than she expected — just days after Jeremy put a ring on it!
Leah & Jeremy Calvert Suffer Tragic Miscarriage
As excited as Leah is for the positive pregnancy test and even shares the good news with twins Ali and Aleeah, the joy turns to tragedy just a few weeks later. The most recent episode of Teen Mom 2 just left off with Leah’s pregnancy, but as we know how her real-life storyline out — the show is about a year behind real time — the pregnancy doesn’t last.
Leah Messer’s Miscarried Pregnancy: Will MTV Air The Dramatic Footage?
Jeremy and Leah sadly lose their baby, which left the couple heartbroken. “It’s a devastating experience, but all I can do is support Leah and take things day by day,” Jeremy told OK! magazine in January 2012.
Considering Leah’s miscarriage happened in January 2012 and the couple didn’t tie the knot until April, it seems highly likely that MTV would show the dramatic heartbreak during season 3. Teen Mom 2 cameras were present during their April 2012 nuptials, so the filming timeline lines up with their devastating news.
Plus, MTV hasn’t’ shied away from showing every dramatic event in the girls’ lives — good or bad. MTV won’t confirm if the miscarriage will be shown, so I guess we’ll have to keep tuning in to find out.
What do YOU think of MTV showing Leah’s miscarriage storyline HollyMoms? Do you think they should?

On the show, Leah said that she dropped out of nursing school because she felt she wasn’t paying enough attention to her child that has health issues and she thought she needed to put her focus on that. Then she goes and gets pregnant with yet another baby? In my opinion, she really needs to focus on the children she has and she should definitely get back in school. Her past shows that she makes impulsive decisions and if history repeats itself, she will be divorced soon and will be a single mom with three kids and no job or education. Her desperation for a family is really a downfall for her. She is biting off more than she can chew. And poor Jeremy! He seems like such a good guy and she openly proclaims on national television that if Corey would just commit to her, she would leave Jeremy. Why in the heck is Jeremy hanging around? He likes being sloppy seconds? The back-up plan? I feel like she is torturing both of these men and it is unfair.

im sorry it is a horrible thing to have a miscarriage but she needed to keep her legs closed in the first place. Her one twin is all messed up, needs medical attention, extra special care, afterall, her twins are still babies! literally! and she wants to have another baby to make a “family” with jeremy. This guy wont stay with her for too much longer and soon she will have 2 baby daddies and no guy will want her at that point. Use your head Leah
I think you are right about her trying to have another baby her family is good enough. She does not need two baby daddy’s why would you say it like that about her baby it is not her fault. I know she is having a hard time but it does not have to sound like it is the baby’s fault. It could be Leah or Corey that made Ali has that condition. Or maybe it just happened. I don’t think that she sound have two baby daddy’s she only needs one. Besides I don’t think that her girls should grow up with a stepdad. So who do you think Leah should be with Corey the baby’s daddy or Jeremy the one that made her get to where she is know depressed? She does not no what to do know.
it jst kills me how she uses the excuse..”I just want a family” isn’t that what she had with Corey? She tore that apart when she cheated, I feel bad for him bcuz he still loves her so much and she continues to break his heart..when your pregnant with another guys kid and ur ex husband still says he’ll hold out for u and u just break him down again. Maybe the miscarriage was a sign that u should go back with Corey bcuz that is your family.

Its Sad but I believe it was for the best, she can hardly take care of the two she has now. Its was to soon I think plus she is still dealing with her feelings for Corey. I believe she should think about going back to nursing school because she is smart. She has found a good man who is caring and loving and supportive. she better stop this nonsense with these back and forth feelings for Corey before she lose a Good thing. Now corey was good also but he just needed to grow up alittle and not be selfish or he wouldn’t have lost her in the first place but its over so move on…….

Not everyone should have a college education. Only those who truly work at it should. Honestly, it’s better for Leah to get married and be a stay at home mom, since she already has twins. Being a stay at home mom is better than putting your kids in daycare. Leave college to those without kids, or with older kids who are school age. Women with young babies shouldn’t be in school.

That sounds really ignorant. Women struggle for equality and desperately want to be seen as an equal. Saying that a woman should just be a stay at home mom encourages dependence on men to support them and furthers the stereotype that women are weak. What happens if the couple splits up? Then “mama” is single with no education and no job. I bet she would thank the Lord she had gotten an education if that happened. Even women that have babies still want to accomplish their dreams and if they want to go to college, they should. If they prefer to be a stay at home mother, they should. But just to flat out say that no woman should further her education because she has a baby is really ignorant.
Children turn out just fine if they have to go to daycare.
U said that they need to get through school then worry bout kids. Then why would u say dat the have to worry bout being a momma and not a girl friend. What if the person is able to do both. What do u think they should do then? Some people like being a girl friend as well as a mother. What about the baby’s daddy doesn’t he have to be in the baby’s life as well? If someone is with another person before the girl gets pregnant then they would already be a girl friend. Then when the girl haves the baby then they will still be girl friend and boy friend. Well that is what I think. What do you think about that?

I think all those girls need to worry about furthering their education instead of having more kids or find a damn job! Mtv is paying these girls to do nothing beneficial with their lives. Really? There’s worst things going on in the world like poverty, yet this is what you’re showing our youth? Pls do the world a favor and show our generation to do something of importance, or how to be successful in life instead of showing that s**t on t.v. PLEASE!

They are on reality TV. It’s reality even tho Leah is far from reality. This show needs to end because these girls are getting crazier by the season and had Leah faced a real life of being a teen mom I bet she wouldn’t have taken her IUD out but then again she is from the south & part of the welfare generation so who cares as long as someone else is footing the bill whether it be MTV or tax payers.

Momma from the south!

Lol I never thought that people could be so stupid! Although I am not a TEEN mom I am a mom to a beautiful daughter with a full time job and I am also a full time student working on a degree in psychology. I also live in a small town. It is about 30-45 minutes away from the town that Leah lives in. I am not on welfare not all single moms are and it only shows your immaturity to make a statement like that. My dad is also a union worker and the pay is great so if she able to be a stay at home mom then more power to her. This a no win situation though because you have people saying that a mother needs to stay at home with her children and not put them in daycare and then you have the ones who say that becquse she stays h9me with them that must mean she is 9n welfare. For those of you who say that teen girls are now getting pregnant in hopes of being on tv I would like to let you know that Leah was pregnant with the twins while the first season was on so that was not at all the purpose.

Its not like if they do show it, they are going to show blood running down the toilet or everywhere else. They aren’t going to go graphic with anything. That’s the kind of stuff that viewers want to see. For those who don’t want to see it, they can mute it or fast forward. Personally I didn’t want to hear or see all that s*** was Chelsea’s dog. Even the commercials upset me. Therefore I did not watch her section of Teen Mom. If miscarriage is upsetting for you, you aren’t forced to watch it. Simple.

You’re kind of missing the point. I understand that Leah put herself on tv, but a miscarriage is a terrible thing to go through. I think they should do her a favor and not put that horrible experience out there for everyone to see. Maybe this is something she should be able to have to herself and share with Jeremy.

She agreed to show her life when she signed contracts with MTV. The good parts, and the bad.
However, I’m sure they’ll cover it tastefully. They’ll just have a photo of Leah’s house and have her narrating what happened, then show them driving home from the hospital and crying, I’d bet.
