Justin’s new album will be in stores on Jan. 29, and after having the chance to hear his new material, it’s clear that this album was written as a heartfelt message to Selena!

Justin Bieber‘s new album makes its way into stores on Jan. 29, and, while a majority of Believe Acoustic consists of acoustic reworking of material from the pop star’s earlier album, Believe, there are three new tracks that I’ve had the chance to listen to — and they’re each emotionally charged love letters to ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez!

Justin, 18, wrote three new songs for his album, each of them more raw and emotional than almost anything that the heartthrob has ever written before. “Nothing Like Us,” “I Would,” and “Yellow Raincoat” each provide his fans a look into the love he feels for Selena, 20, and the pain he’s in now that he’s no longer with her.

“Nothing Like Us” is a beautiful ballad that finds Justin lamenting the loss of Selena over a plaintive piano accompaniment. The lyrics display the singer’s torment over losing his love and are quite emotional. When Justin croons, you truly feel his love for his ex-girlfriend.

‘Nothing Like Us’ Lyrics Excerpt

“I gave you everything, baby, everything I had to give
Girl, why would you push me away?
Lost in confusion, like an illusion
You know I’m used to making your day.
But that is the past now, we didn’t last now
Guess that this is meant to be.
Tell me was it worth it? We were so perfect”

Justin Bieber’s Other New Songs

The two other new songs on the album also hint at the Biebs relationship with Sel. In “Yellow Raincoat,” he sings about how money, fame, and girls can drive you crazy, while “I Would” is a sweet promise to give Selena the whole world, if he could.

Justin’s new songs, on top of the gorgeous acoustic arrangements of his earlier hits, make for a terrific album. Be sure to pick up a copy of Believe Acoustic when it hits stores on Jan. 29!
