Frank tweeted that he got jumped by Chris at the recording studio on Jan. 27 and now a source tells HollywoodLife.com that Chris was allegedly the one instigating the fight by saying some not so nice things to Frank and his friends.

Did Chris Brown start the fight with Frank Ocean? A source close to the situation tells HollywoodLife.com that Chris and his buddies were the ones who were provoking Frank and his friends at Westlake Studios on Jan. 27 in LA.

Why Chris & Frank Allegedly Got Into A Fight

A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Chris and his friends were saying things like: “F*ck y’all gay a** n*ggas.” Frank, 25, is openly gay.

The insider went on to say: “Chris and his ghetto a** people started everything and they were even talking all kinds of sh*t … They provoked everything and and was talking sh*t the whole time.”

TMZ claims that the fight started over a parking spot. Frank reportedly said: “This is my studio, this is my parking spot.” Then Frank allegedly blocked Chris from trying to leave the studio and that’s when punches were thrown.

Our source says that no one blocked Chris from leaving:

“Yeah, Chris’ car or whatever car he was rolling in was in a reserved spot,” the source says. “But no one was blocking him and and security told him he couldn’t park there and that’s when some fool from his crew got wild and started acting crazy and tripping out on everybody. It was just crazy because they know better but they are so hood and it makes no sense. It’s sad.”

Police Statement On Frank Ocean & Chris Brown’s Fight

West Hollywood police released a statement to HollywoodLife.com, regarding Frank and Chris’ fight, stating:

“West Hollywood Station deputies are investigating allegations that Chris Brown assaulted an unnamed victim,” the statement reads. “Deputies responded to a call of six males fighting at the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood. Upon their arrival, deputies talked to witnesses who stated that Chris Brown and the victim were involved in an altercation over a parking space. The altercation allegedly led to Chris Brown punching the victim. After a brief fight, the parties were separated. Chris Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the arrival of deputies. The investigation is on-going and investigators will contact Chris Brown at a later time.”

Frank Took To Twitter To Address The Fight

Frank wrote to his followers: “Got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest was there.” He also added: “Cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys.”

The Grammy’s will be held in LA on Feb. 10 and if they both still go, they are bound to run into each other. Chris is currently on probation stemming from his 2009 assault on Rihanna. Chris has one more year left on his five-year probation. So far no charges have been filed in this brawl and it’s unclear whether this will affect his remaining probation.
