Jason Statham, playing an intense, intelligent professional thief who isn’t afraid to maim and kill his enemies, is a complicated character.
On one hand, you’d never want to cross him — he will follow you to the ends of the earth to exact his revenge. But on the other hand, he abhors hurting innocent people and bends over backwards to protect regular folks caught in his crosshairs, as well as the people he loves.
J.Lo Stuns In ‘Parker’
One of those regular people who gets mixed up with Parker is Leslie, played with warmth, humor, and deep empathy by Jennifer Lopez.
Leslie is a down-on-her-luck, divorced real estate agent in Palm Beach trying desperately to make just one sale so she can stave off creditors trying to repossess her car.
“Leslie is at the worst moment in her life,” Jennifer Lopez told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the film’s NYC premiere.
And Jennifer conveys Leslie’s desperation and her smarts with completely relatable vulnerability.
As she gets drawn into Parker’s daring scheme to reap revenge on former colleagues who double-crossed him and to steal a socialite’s “ransom,” Leslie is torn between terror and excitement.
