Ahead of his tell-all interview with Katie Couric on Jan. 24, Manti has released the disturbing voice mails that he received from his hoaxer.
Notre Dame football star Manti Te’o‘s Catfish-esque hoax story is becoming more disturbing. On Jan. 24, he released three voicemails from his hoaxer Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, who posed as cancer stricken female “Lennay Kekua.” One of the voicemails was left the night before Lennay allegedly died of her fake cancer, in which she tells Manti, “I love you and goodnight”. Manti Te’o's Voicemails From ‘Lennay Kekua’
The new voicemails were left on Manti’s phone by Ronaiah, and he sounds exactly like a girl as he poses as Lennay. The first voicemail was supposedly left on Manti’s phone right before “Lennay” began her first round of chemotherapy for her alleged cancer.
She says “Just wanted to call you and keep you posted…I miss you, I love you…bye.” In the second voicemail, “Lennay” is crying and accuses Manti of seeing someone else: ”I don’t know who answered your phone…and I don’t care.”
Someone real, maybe?
The third voicemail was left on Sept. 11 — the day before “Lennay” supposedly died. Lennay says ”Hey babe, I’m just calling to say goodnight. I love you.”
She continues, “I know that you’re probably doing homework or you’re with the boys, or a girl maybe, just razzing. I just want to say I love you and goodnight and I’ll be okay tonight, I’ll do my best. So, yeah, get your rest and I’ll talk to you tomorrow. I love you so much hun, sweet dreams.”

Manti’s Interview With Katie Couric
Manti, along with his parents Brian and Ottilia Te’o, will join Katie Couric in the interview that will air on Jan. 24, where he will discuss these voicemails and the entire hoax itself.
Now the butt of countless jokes on Saturday Night Live and from Twitter users around the world, Manti is going to tell Katie what he knew, while the whole world watches. How exactly was he fooled by such an elaborate hoax, and is he completely innocent? We will soon find out!
