Selena has joined the long list of celebrities who have been invited to a Cavalry ball! Private First Class John Buchan posed the question to Selena in a video posted on Jan. 19.

PFC John Buchan‘s invitation has gone viral in just four days — do you think Selena Gomez, 20, has seen it yet?

Selena might be open to making new friends after splitting with Justin Bieber!

At the InStyle/Warner Brothers party after the Golden Globes on Jan. 13, Selena admitted she loves red carpets and parties because she gets to meet new people!

“I totally have met incredible people tonight. I came here two years ago and people totally, completely appreciate the art of what tonight is, and the Golden Globes, and people who have worked so hard. So, that’s why I appreciate being here — seeing all the people and how hard they’ve worked.”

“We both experienced the same things at the same time,” Selena told NYLON about their friendship. “But we’ve never once talked about our industry. She just became the person I’d go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It’s so hard to trust girls, so I’m lucky to have her.”

More Celebrities Invited To Military Balls

In 2011, Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake were asked to Marine Corps Balls while promoting their movie Friends With Benefits. Justin attended a military ball during the summer of 2011, and Mila attended her event with Sgt. Scott Moore on Nov. 18. Kim Kardashian also went to a Marine ball in Nov. 2012.
