Michelle Obama, 49, is quite the hair chameleon lately! She sported a light and airy flippy style for the inauguration and then pulled back her hair into a classy updo for this recent event. When it comes to her famous mane, Michelle can do no wrong!

The First Lady wore the beautiful style with a custom Naeem Khan coat and matching dress. The designer, told WWD that he made the coordinating outfit about a month ago for an occasion without knowing which one exactly. ‘There is never a confirmation for what it’s going to be for.” The ivory wool-appliqué coat and dress with a jeweled neckline and trim, inspired by the designer’s expansive travels, is the eighth Naeem Khan outfit Mrs Obama has worn.

Mr Khan, who launched his collection in 2003, was a contender for the First Lady’s inaugural weekend. Asked if he felt disappointed after seeing the Mrs Obama in Thom Browne at Monday’s swearing-in, he said: ‘It’s an ongoing thing. She looked so beautiful yesterday. ‘You might feel a little sad but you have to contemplate the process. I know she loves my things and there will be more things that come along.’

After Mr Khan began selling his clothes at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue ten years ago, his collection has grown to be sold at more than 100 specialty stores across the world.

His designs have been worn by celebrities including Beyoncé, Eva Longoria, and Leighton Meester in character as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, and in 2008, he was inducted as a member of the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America.
