Yikes! Rob and Liberty — the wife of the director who cheated with Rob’s girlfriend, Kristen Stewart — attended the same Golden Globes party on Jan. 13 and stood just feet apart. How awkward!
Robert Pattinson may have been cool and calm when he presented a Golden Globe to Quentin Tarantino on Jan. 13, but just moments afterwards, he was left shaking, as he stood just 10 feet away from Liberty Ross at the Circa 55 restaurant in the Beverly Hills Hotel. Rob and Liberty were both devastated when Rob’s girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, and Liberty’s husband, Rupert Sanders, had an affair last summer, and sources say it was super awkward when the jilted lovers came face to face at the awards show.
Robert Pattinson & Liberty Ross’ Run-In
Before going to an exclusive Golden Globes after party, Rob, 26, dropped into the Circa 55 restaurant to celebrate his presenting success. The Water For Elephants actor was seen having a drink around 9.30pm, and he was standing about 10 feet away from a table where Liberty, 34, and her friends were sitting. And he soon left when he saw her there! “Rob didn’t stay long after that,” the onlooker tells Life & Style.
It must have been awkward, especially since Liberty had wished to speak to Robert, after the affair came to light. “Liberty is still furious with what happened and wants answers,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “She has not spoken to Rob yet, but wants to see him and compare stories. She is hoping they can bring some comfort to each other.”
And it looks like Rob hasn’t gotten over the affair either, as he has proposed a trial separation to Kristen, 22, while he is in Australia filming The Rover.
Rob & Kristen’s Trial Separation
HollywoodLife.com previously reported that Rob called for the separation, as he felt that things were moving too fast.
“Rob and Kristen are on a trial separation right now,” a source told us exclusively. “For Kristen, it’s all or nothing. She’s ready for marriage, but Rob is over the relationship. They’re not going to see each other in Australia. When Rob returns, they’ll assess their relationship, but he doesn’t want to get back together. Rob’s been shaky ever since the cheating scandal.” On the other hand, Kristen wants to get back together ’because she’s co-dependent.”
Whether Rob does or doesn’t want the relationship to continue, those are bones he will have to bury if he and Kristen are going to have a lasting relationship.

HL when the scandal occurred in July, 2012, you reported when Kristen was asking for forgiveness, that Robert wanted to speak WITH Liberty to know what she knew about the affair. Now you are saying that he left the after party when he saw Liberty at the after party. Please remember there’s a time and place for everything and that was not the time when people were celebrating the Golden Globes. Please stop creating chaos where there isn’t any. With only exception that reliable news medias are reporting that Liberty has decided to file for divorce from Rupert. It is stated in the newpapers that she filed papers with the courts on 01/25/2013. Now that’s a lead story. Sadness should be directed to the children and the lost of another family unit. RS and KS were selfish and had no regards for anyone except for themselves.
