Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are one of Hollywood’s cutest on and off-screen couples, and now their Glee co-star Jonathan Groff has spoken out about their romance, and said that they make a “great couple.” How nice! Jonathan, who has had a recurring role as Jesse St. James in the hit FOX show, is best friends with Lea, and they used to star in the Broadway show Spring Awakening together. Jonathan and Cory may have played on-screen love rivals, as their characters Jesse and Finn battled it out for Rachel’s heart, but off screen, Jonathan could not say better things about Cory!

“I think he’s great. I’m so happy they’re together,” Jonathan says to Wetpaint. He says that Lea and Cory are “both really wonderful people,” and that though it’s hard to pinpoint one specific thing that makes them good together, “they’re just a great couple.”

How sweet! Jonathan is also loved up in real life, with Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto.

There is no question that Lea, 26, is head over heels about Cory, 30, and she says that it is their friendship that makes them such a good couple. “I really think finding someone that you are best friends with is the secret,” Lea told Life & Style. “I’m dating my celebrity crush!” she admits. Aw!

Lea was Marie Claire‘s December cover star, and she opened up to the magazine about her relationship with her co-star.

“I don’t even remember a time when he wasn’t my boyfriend,” said Lea. “No one knows me better than Cory. No one knows what it’s been like to go through this more than he does. Feeling like you have that net underneath you allows you to jump higher and go farther,” she said. “He makes me feel like I can do anything. For the first time in my life, I feel really, really settled and happy. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
