The rapper was invited to perform a concert on Jan. 20 at a private pre-inauguration event, but was escorted off stage when he started rapping his song ‘Words I Never Said,’ which calls out Obama for being a bad president! Read on for more details.

Rapper Lupe Fiasco was asked to perform a show as part of a pre-inauguration celebration in Washington D.C. on Jan. 20, only to be asked to leave after he went on an anti-Obama rant — and called him out for being a bad president!

The private party was hosted on Jan. 20 by the startup group Hypervocal and was supposed to help kick off the 2013 Presidential Inauguration events. It listed Lupe Fiasco has its headliner, but didn’t seem to screen his entire set list before he performed.

As part of his set, Lupe performed his 2011 song “Words I Never Said,” which has a politically-charged message. The part of his lyrics that set people off:

“Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say s—t
That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either
I’m a part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful
And I believe in the people.”

Another part of the same song adds:

“I really think the war on terror is a bunch of bullshit
Just a poor excuse for you to use up all your bullets
How much money does it take to really make a full clip
9/11 building 7 did they really pull it
Uhh, And a bunch of other cover ups.”

During his performance, Lupe was interrupted by security guards who asked him to stop — and escorted him off the stage!

Hypervocal Speaks Out After Concert Fiasco

In an official statement, the startup group  revealed the real reason they interrupted the rapper.

“We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech,” their statement read. “This was not about his opinions. Instead, after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act.”

wheres the right place? where other rappers are doin it? by that i mean nowhere? hip hop is dead, they are all industry fakes and jokes. art school kids… the fact they sit back and watch african kids and kids all over the world get bombed but they keep rapping about shoes proves they are nothing. they are jokes and obamas slaves.

Ummm, pretty sure building 7 was pulled during 9/11. The owner called the order even though it wasn’t hit by any planes. And that was under Bush’s era not Obama. Who started this war? Not Obama!!!!!!!!! Btw, the owner of building 7 also owned the twin towers and just had them insured against acts of terrorism months before the attack. He got paid twice. Hmmmmmmm

Rap on Lupe. We need more people who aren’t afraid to stand up for what they believe in out there in the media as opposed to those who just go with whatever everybody else says, does and thinks.

You dnt go to someone party and disrespect them.if your not a supporter and wanted to protest,he should’ve just turned down the invite. How would you like that if someone did that to you? I doubt you’d be calling for free speech then.

I disagree… In this case, the ONLY WAY dissenting opinion gets heard is through peaceful civil disobedience. I applaud Lupe for speaking his mind, because he is right. Obama is the worst President in US history in all phases of the job. You have to chip away at the facade the media has built around him some kind of way and what better way to do it than at this charade of BS called the inauguration.

Do some history research before you make that stupid commit that he is the worst president ever. If you are too lazy, the History channel has been running a series on US Presidents. Get the facts first. I never like W’s policies but I would never ever disrespect him because he was my President.

Worse President….are you serious right now ?
So what did you call Bush and his dad, the war started with them When Clinton was in we had no problems. Now Obama (1st Black President) gets into office and note he went in there after Bush and all the mess he made, and typical let the Black man clean it up and he is taking the hear for it to. The disrespect many have shown for the President is appalling, I wonder why Bush had a Shoe thrown at him and it was OK for him to just give away money just before he left office you thought it was free trust we paying for it all now. (Lupe should be ashamed of himself along with all Black republicans) Abraham Lincoln set African Americans free a long time ago….. emancipate yourself from mental slavery, no one but you can free you mind…..On your way!!
