Kelly looked gorgeous in a flowing, floral gown at the Inaugural Ball after she wowed the crowd with her performance during the day. Did you love her look as much as we did?
At the 2013 Inaugural Ball which took place on Jan. 21 at the White House in D.C., 30-year-old Kelly Clarkson donned an Oscar De La Renta strapless gown. The orange and yellow floral print looked beautiful on her fair skin tone, and she truly looked elegant. The sweetheart neckline and bright pink clutch added the perfect finishing touches to this ensemble.
Kelly’s neutral, simple makeup and blonde up-do match perfectly with this floral piece. Her bare neck and a pair of drop earrings were a great addition to this flattering look, and she looked lovely next to her fiance, Brandon Blackstock. He was probably thrilled to stand next to this beauty!
She posted a couple of photos to her Twitter page and tweeted along with them! She captioned the photo with her fiance, “Me and Brandon in our ‘fancy’ attire :) Fun night!” Another tweet said, “My dress barely fit in the car for tonight’s festivities. I feel like Cinderella! Thank you Oscar De La Renta!” The couple looked great together, and Kelly really did look like a princess!
Earlier that day, she nervously performed, “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee,” at the 57th Presidential Inauguration. Despite all of the nerves she was fighting, she sounded wonderful, as always and was able to relax at the ball! She got up to dance the night away after First Lady, Michelle Obama, started the party! Kelly Tweeted, “Just partied at the White House ….I kid you not, Michelle Obama stood up and got the party started ….seriously cool First Lady :)” We would have totally loved to see that!
