She sounded amazing when she performed the National Anthem but now it has been confirmed in a statement to HollywoodLife.com that she lip-synced at President Barack Obama’s second Inauguration.
Beyonce, 31, performed “The Star Spangled Banner” on Jan. 21 in front of President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration. On Jan. 22, a rep for the United States Marine Band, who accompanied her on the song, confirmed to HollywoodLife.com that she sang along to a pre-recorded track.
Kristin DuBois, Public Affairs Chief For The Marine Band, confirms to HollywoodLife.com, “We don’t at all we know why she decided to go with the pre-recorded music. All music [for the Inauguration] is pre-recorded as a matter of course. The Marine Band performed live and we received word at the last minute. Colonel Colborne and Officer Perry were standing right there, and I’m not sure who they were in contact with, but Perry gave the word to go with the pre-recorded track at the last minute. I can say that what is common is every four years someone wants to say someone is lip syncing, and four years ago it was Yo Yo Ma. He even admitted it and said well yes, it was 25 degrees, a cello can’t make a sound in those conditions. It’s not because she couldn’t sing, something had to have happened that prevented her from doing that. Kelly Clarkson did sing live and the band accompanied her. James Taylor … I don’t know. We are speaking on our behalf. We don’t know why she did it and all we know is what happened. Our role was to perform the National Anthem.”

The band’s rep also tells Page Six, “All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day. We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyonce was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the reason why.”
The London Times has also confirmed the report.
Beyonce Performs ‘The Star Spangled Banner’
Beyonce took to the stage in a black Emilio Pucci gown and emerald jewels valued at $2.5 million. The audience was amazed and she gave President Obama a hug and a kiss afterwards.

So what? Even a little kid can sing the national anthem.
They should have asked kelly clarkson because she really has a voice or a little kid that could sing live.
