Alexander Skarsgard reveals a ‘big war’ is coming to Bon Temps!
True Blood‘s fifth season ended on a strange note — a naked, bloody, strange note — leaving Truebies to wonder what will become of King Bill (Stephen Moyer), now that he’s evolved into an evil vampire god. And while we still don’t have an exact answer, Alexander Skarsgard recently offered up a few hints about season six that should appease our curiosity. For now.
“There’s a big war coming up — a big war,” Alexander, 36, told Wetpaint Entertainment this weekend at the Sundance Film Festival.
As for whether or not we’ll see our bloody, naked king in season six? I think it’s safe to say #TeamBill can rest easy.
“Bill will be back, yes,” Alexander confirmed, though he couldn’t give any specifics.
Of course, it’s also possible the “war” in question will be triggered by Warlow, the mysterious vampire responsible for killing Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason’s (Ryan Kwanten) parents. True Blood creator Alan Ball confirmed the show will “define” Warlow in season six.
More ‘True Blood’ Season 6 Spoilers
Along with Bill and Eric, HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine reports that (at least) two new faces will be arriving in Bon Temps this summer.
Former Friday Night Lights star Jurnee Smollett will play Nicole, who’s concerned with “doing what’s right” more than anything else; and former 90210 actress Amelia Rose Blaire will play Willa, whose father just so happens to be the governor of Louisiana.
Do you predict Bill will be the cause of the “big war” in Bon Temps? Watch Bill’s haunting transformation below, then drop a comment with your thoughts and theories about season six!

Bill was a bore in the books and Charlaine was smart to sideline him. The more TB tries to center the show around Bill, the worse the show gets. No amount of bloody, caked on goo with help elevate his character….he wasn’t ever meant to be powerful…or king. He was meant to be a regular vampire. Killing Bill last season would have been the smartest thing the show could have done. Stephen can stand behind the camera and direct.

I hope season 6 will REDEEM this rapidly deflating series. The introduction of further secondary characters when the major characters are floundering in their development (and in some cases literally dissolving) is not a good sign.
In particular, Sookie’s character needs to mature and it would be nice if she could start figuring things out rather than being so easily manipulated.
It is surprising how many fans seem not to pick up on the fact that Bill was sent to Bon Temps to find Sookie. He let the Rattrays beat her up in order to make her drink his blood. When she asks what his blood will do to her, he mentions that her libido will heat up, but neglects to mention that his blood will attract her to him specifically. She was unexperienced (it is suggested that she was a virgin) so she fell headlong into his trap, confusing her V-induced delusionary appetite with “love”. Bill knew it was just a matter of time before she came running across the field in her nightgown. What he did to her was a combination of entrapment and rape. The fact that she didn’t put two and two together after Eric tricked her to drink his blood and she started having all those hot dreams about him, makes her more of an airhead than she deserves. When Bill first tells Eric that Sookie must be protected, Eric replies: “That sounds like an Edict. If it were, I would know about it”. What if Erik’s instinct were correct? Bill was always following an agenda – presumably on orders from an “Authority” higher than Eric. Now that there is no Authority higher than Bill, it would be interesting to see how the writers will spin this thread in season 6.
By the end of season 4, Sookie was stuck in an “eternal” bond with Bill, an equally permanent blood-pact with Eric, and she belongs to Warlow by deed-of-sale. How on earth can the TB writers think of pushing her into another romantic entanglement?! Frankly, I am unconvinced that Ben/”Sean Slater from Eastenders” has the charisma to compete with strong characters like Erik/Skarsgaard and Bill/Moyer. I am also not very excited by a plot that pairs all species with one of their kind: by the end of season 5, there was practically no more cross-species romantic action, If the next step is to shack Sookie up with a faerie, the show is going to dissolve in a big pile of gooey nonsense.
Sookie has been constantly pursued by all of her lovers so far and she’s annoyingly slow in figuring out what’s going on. In season 6, Sookie should finally come into her own and reveal her true colors the way (supposedly) Bill revealed his true colors as the ultimate manipulator-turned-mastermind in season 5.
At this point, Sookie’s character has become so emotionally confused that it is difficult to see how she can hold so much influence over such strong male figures like Erik and Bill. Especially now that there are full-blooded faeries on the scene, there has to be more to Sookie than just having faerie perfume in her blood. Everyone has been wondering what’s so special about Sookie (how many times has Pam wonderd?).
Bill told her that it was not what she was that attracted him, but WHO she was. Well, it is high time we got to know exactly WHO Sookie Stackhouse is, because so far there is nothing to distinguish her from the average (dumb) blonde stereotype. (Sorry blondes!).
Can Sookie mature, stop being a pawn/airhead and decide exactly who and what she wants and pursue her “prey” or “destiny” with the same predatory determination (and awareness of all the forces at play) as that with which she has been pursued??
Typically, women like Sookie have a compulsive desire to reform bad boys – so Bill would have more command over her emotions (and appetites) now than he has ever had before, at this point.
What better way to establish human dominance over Vampires once and for all, than for Sookie to “turn” “Billith”?
The story could go something like this: We have seen that when Bill drank all of the Lilith blood, he met the true death, was drained and rose again: as vampire beyond true death. How about if becoming a “super-vamp” was the only way a vamp could be turned back into a human, but only by a fae-bearing human hybrid?
TB started out with Bill tricking Sookie into thinking she saved him (in episode 1, season 1. Come on! that slim silver chain the Rattrays used to bind him in order to drain his blood in the car park behind Merlotte’s couldn’t have held a vampire like Bill – considering how much silver was needed to hold him down to resist the Spanish witch’s summoning spell). In a way, by his many betrayals and by crossing every last boundary of redemption, Bill is ultimately defying and challenging (which is the same as willing and begging) Sookie to save him…He seems to have made it beyond impossible for her – or anyone – to do now, but it may be proposed that it is precisely because Bill has gone so far that Sookie could now be inspired to summon the power to “turn” or “save” him in a way that she could not before. (Just my tuppence to the scriptwriters, if they’re reading this! ;-))
Here’s another idea: Vampires and humans cannot reproduce – but someone has floated the idea that Vampires and Faeries might be able to reproduce. Call me a sop but I like the idea of Sookie marrying a Vampire and having Vamp-Fae babies. The problem is that, at this point, since she can’t choose between Erik and Bill (and a third vamp option is out of the question), the only option is a Polyandric (one wife, several husbands) union. Or am I the only one who kind of wanted to see Sookie get a bit more out her fantasy of a world where she would not have to choose between Erik and Bill, than the two of them tamely suckling off her wrists to recover from being barbequeued?
In the wake of “Big Love” and “Sister Wives” (shows promoting Polygamy as an equally acceptable alternative to monogamy), I wonder if the True Blood writers could challenge monogamy- with a twist, since the show is all about liberal-cross-culturalization. I would love to see them try!
After all, it’s pretty clear Sookie only broke up with Erik and Bill because of her “repressed” traditional ideas about relationships: she wants them both and doesn’t want to have to choose. We already know Vampires don’t really have a problem sharing and they can be tamed. Verdict: Sookie-Bill-Erik in a Polyandric marriage? Why not? They’re already half-way there.
Finally: Because of the file (including her genealogy) and Bill’s possessiveness over Sookie as his property, he is the best candidate for “Warlow”.

i lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee true blood and really dont care what they do as long as they can hold my interest. i wouldnt like to see eric go at all . i love the tension between him and sookie. i would love to see more of the old tara, laffette and pam it was better then.however i dont think russel is dead i think there is a way for him to come back .he had to hv gotten some kind of powers from draining that fairy queen …lol…maybe he exploded to a different realm maybe the same realm as warlo. As for bill i think sookie and eric may end up having to fight him and warlo and all hell will break loose ;bc, bill is now much more powerful. i dont want to see him and sookie back together tho. i think he should fall in love with someone else, sookie gets super jealous and does all she can to win him back. i dont think his new girlfriend should be evil either. she should be powerful . while eric is trying to win sookies heart and pam fights for eric.OR maybe bill and eric both fall for someone else but sookie is jealous of both their new girls and tries to win them both back while fighting off warlo. warlo and russel should also be enemies with different goals which oppose each other’s and bill is also and enemy of them both…….. and eric …..also an enemy.to all three of them..so now everyone has different goals that set them apart and against each other….and no one is working together……..lets see how far they’ll go to get what they want!!!……just my take on what should happen :) !

The even stranger note is that Bill is still a character in the show. I know he and AP are married but do we really need to “re do” the entire theme of the books by making Bill this major character???? I’m giving this show one or two eps in 2013 and then I’m going to stop watching. I’m sick of stupid story lines like this one that do nothing to move the major characters forward and everything to highlight silly, pointless plot lines that are out of the realm of the True Blood books. At this rate, the show bears little resemblance to the books except for the character names. Can we all just admit that the draw is Eric and Sookie and be done with the Bill, et. al story lines?????

True Blood, the best TV Show, Season 5 was complex so many unnecessary things like cast and situations were added, Russel should not died so easily, I saw all the series in a week and it was the best week for me. Bill will go in the evil way in season 6, but he should return as a vampire that he was in first season respectively, Season 6 I hope to see new abilities with more thrill & horror with new powerfull villian and war between humans.

I am very interested to see where they go in the sixth season, now that Billith is officially returning. A coworker at DISH and I have been discussing what this means for Bon Temps, it seems like they will have a new type of monster on their hands. I can’t wait to find out more and during the wait for this season, I have been watching the previous seasons using Blockbuster @Home from DISH. With my schedule always changing, I love that it’s so easy to get all of my movies delivered quickly in the mail. But I also love that when I forget to send back my movies, I have the option of unlimited exchanges in a Blockbuster store. Watching the seasons again is a great refresher, so I am glad that even with how busy I am, I can still prepare for my favorite shows return.
THEY CANT CUT BILL OUT…DONT NEED NEW WOMEN UNLESS ITS FOR JASON …OTHER THAN THAT THEY BETTER NOT RUIN TRUEBLOOD..LILITH HAS TO BE TAKEN OUT OF BILL SO SOOKIE CAN HAVE HIM BACK,WITHOUT BILL THEN THERE IS NO TRUEBLOOD..THAT IS THE WAY IT IS! BILL HAS TO GET BACK TO US ,THEM , ALL OF US OR ALL IS LOST!…SO COME BACK BILL…EVERYBODY,EVEN ERIC,MISSES YOU!…V”V still waiting!

I think too many people want the show to be the books. They are so hung up on S/E that they can’t even see bill in any other light, but the truth is the show is better with bill in it. Plus Alex and Anna look weird together. All of their love scenes were weak and plus he’s too tall for her. It just looks weird. Also I think season five was weak, but not as bad as season 3. I think killing Bill of would mean the true death for true blood. What is the show about? Bill, sookie and Eric and the mess that comes along with that union. If you start killing you off your main cast, that is just spelling doom for the entire show.

I’m with ya but I also would be fine with an authority firing squad of silver trimmed rocket launchers pointed directly at his head. Bill and his dainty southern belle mannerisms need to stop before they destroy s
What’s left of the show. More fairy elders and Tara & Pam to save the day!

Bill just ruins the show. He’s so boring and pathetic. They should kill him off.
