As if acting and mommyhood aren’t enough, the amazing actress is channeling her talent into a brand new cosmetics line for Walmart–we caught up with the star at the launch event for her line in New York City.

Drew Barrymore, 37, is not only one of Hollywood’s most talented actresses, but she could also be the most lovable! Whatever she touches turns to gold, so when we heard she created a brand new cosmetics line, Flower Beauty by Drew Barrymore for Walmart, we couldn’t wait to check it out!

Flower Beauty by Drew Barrymore

The one and only Drew Barrymore with HollywoodLife Beauty Director, Jennifer Tzeses.

The line delivers luxury formulas at mass market prices (none of the products retails for over $15) and it’s easy to see why. The packaging is so glam and a little bit Art Deco and could rival the most pricey of products. The vibrant hues of lipstick, nail polish and eye shadow go from subtle to saturated and are just so pretty. The cruelty-free products are not tested on animals, check. And the brand doesn’t pay for advertising, which means all the resources go into the formulas and packaging, double check.

Why Drew decided to create the line: “I’ve worn makeup my whole life for film and fashion and worked with the best makeup artists in the world and I love what makeup does for you,” she says. “Then I was the co-creative director at Cover Girl for six years, and when I finished my contract, it was like I had gone to college for six years and I wanted to know what I would do with my degree.”

Well it looks like Drew is putting that degree to good use! The beautiful star (and on a personal note for me: the sweetest, most genuine celeb I’ve ever met) is also pretty innovative when it comes to applying her lipstick.” I love to wear my lipstick on my cheeks and I love to highlight the corners of my eyes,” she says.

Drew’s beauty philosophy: “Happiness is what makes you pretty.” We couldn’t agree more!

You must check out Flower by Drew Barrymore at Walmart stores and Walmart.com.

HollywoodLifers, are YOU excited to try Flower? Sound off!

Purchased two items when they were first put out on the shelves. I got the eyeliner in black and the stick foundation. Eyeliner was dry and the foundation was too yellow. Also the packaging is so cheap and plain looking. Really disappointed.

Found it at a mega Super Wal-Mart in NC – Concord Mills Mall. Ironically, they had just set the display and prices were just being revealed. Corporate Management from Wal-Mart was there previewing the new display while I was there. They were VERY excited about it and snapping pictures left and right. They told me that Drew married into the “Lancôme” family and that these were actually Lancome products being sold for a fraction of the price. Beautiful display and selection of items. Only have tried the BB cream so far. Not your typical BB cream as it offers excellent coverage, but little or no hydration and no “dewy” look, so this will appeal mainly a younger market with oilier skin – not to your 30 plus crowd {me), looking for some hydration and better coverage of “fine lines.” VERY thick so only use a little, but again, excellent coverage and I think the younger gals will love this product. I personally will stay with the regular Loreal BB cream, which is very hard for Wal-Mart to keep in stock (in the medium shade at least). I shared that info. with the management as well and they noted that and said they would check into keeping better inventory for that particular BB cream.

Nice line and packaging…..jus too bad she left out selections for girls of color!!

Wondering why there are always 6-8 shades of white, when white people only come in one color ( depending on how long they stay under the lamp).

Go to Wal-Mart’s website and you can order all of the makeup. The stores rarely carry all of any line of anything because rarely does an entire line of anything sell out at all stores.

Ok 3rd Walmart doesn’t know what I’m talking about. I don’t even shop at Walmart but I’ve made 3 trips specifically for these products and it’s been nothing but a waste of time. Sorry Drew, I am done driving around. Good luck!

Excited about the line…with all the media about it, I was let down when not only did an employee look at me like i was nuts when i asked “Where is the new cosmetic line by Drew Barrrymore?”, when I found it after 5 min of looking it was nothing but a 3 sided cardboard display on one of the end caps. Also, it included only mascara, nail polish, lipsticks, and 1 type of eyeliner. Maybe she’s starting out slow so as to get a “feel” for the market???

Would like to know more about the products( I.e. are they cruelty free, vegan, free of known irritants,).

I was very excited to try the products but have been to two Walmarts and they don’t seem to know what I’m talking about when I ask for Flower…very disappointing.

Tried to get this today after seeing Drew on both Oprah and the View at the Union, NJ Walmart and they haven’t put it out yet even though Drew said it would be available this week. Very frustrating since I went there specifically for this!
