Rob was spotted having a blast with some friends in a pub in Australia on Jan. 20. See the pic.
When Robert Pattinson left the U.S. for Australia to shoot his new film, The Rover, he proposed a trial separation to girlfriend Kristen Stewart. Now, it appears that Rob is having a good time by his lonesome in OZ, except — he doesn’t appear to be too alone. (Insert wink face here.)
While Rob had some fun at the pub, Zhivago, with some friends in Adelaide, Australia on Jan. 20, he also got cozy with a number of females the day before on Jan. 19.
A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Rob, 26, views his trial separation with Kristen as the start of his exit strategy.
“Rob and Kristen are on a trial separation right now,” the friend of Kristen’s tells us. ”For Kristen, it’s all or nothing. She’s ready for marriage, but Rob is over the relationship. They’re not going to see each other in Australia. When Rob returns, they’ll assess their relationship, but he doesn’t want to get back together. Rob’s been shaky ever since the cheating scandal.”
HollywoodLife.com‘s Editor-in-Chief Bonnie Fuller and Managing Editor Bill Earl debate whether this separation spells the end for our favorite couple. Watch Bonnie and Bill debate the separation in the video below and let us know: What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Should Rob just end things now if he wants out?

Just listened to your discussion about the trial separation of Rob & Kristen. Nobody has any patience these days about anything. The world is not going to end tomorrow. I think Rob is far wiser about their relationship than Kristen is- obviously – considering what happened last summer. He is the injured party in this and should, by rights, be calling the shots. Everyone needs to calm down and not get so bent out of shape about their relationship. It makes perfect sense for them to have the temporary separation when they are actually temporarily separated by many miles. ” I would say to this girl, even the pain of the worst betrayals can ease over time so give it time, Kristen. Play a waiting game, you won’t be sorry. Instead of dwelling on the relationship, get involved in other things. Don’t text him, call him or skype. Let him be the one to contact you. After all, he requested the temporary no-contact so let him be the one to contact you. Never let him know you are jealous, have hurt feelings or anything else guys think of as negative. Be proud, hold your head up – one slip-up doesn’t make you a slut.” Love them both and want them to be happy, together or not.
