Oh no! Talk show titan Barbara Walters was hospitalized on Saturday Jan. 19 after falling on a stair and cutting her forehead.
Barbara Walters suffered a bad fall while visiting the British Ambassador’s residence on Saturday Jan. 19. Barbara, 83, fell on a stair and cut her forehead, prompting to seek medical attention.
Jeffrey W. Schneider, senior vice president of ABC News, tells POLITICO, “Out of an abundance of caution, she went to the hospital to have her cut tended to, have a full examination and remains there for observation. Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign.”
Barbara is in D.C. ahead of President Obama’s second inauguration on Jan. 21. She was scheduled to contribute to ABC News’ coverage of the events, but will not be on-air Jan. 21, according to TV Newser.
We hope Barbara has a speedy and full recovery! What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Barbara consider a less active lifestyle?

Old age is not to be exploited — we are supposed to know when to step down. However, Ms. Walters is a pawn for a group that will never retire her. She goes on doing what she does, while the world watches and grimaces for her. Sad.
