After hearing of Chief Keef’s sentencing on Jan. 17, celebs like 50 Cent, Jackée Harry, and many more have reacted to the news publicly! Read on to find out what they have to say!

With news that Chief Keef (real name: Keith Cozart) was sentenced to two months in a youth detention facility on Jan. 17 for having violated the terms of his probation, celebrity fans of the troubled 17-year-old rapper have gone public with their reactions. From 50 Cent to Waka Flocka Flame to Jackée Harry — their responses may surprise you!

Speaking with MTV News, 50 Cent, Chief Keef’s labelmate, sympathized with the young rapper. “With Chief Keef, it’s unfortunate to hear that he’s actually locked up,” he said. “I feel bad, because I feel like I knew that was gonna happen. I knew what continues to happen afterwards if you let it spiral out of control.”

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame spoke with MTV also, encouraging people to give Chief Keef a break. “That’s a kid at the end of the day, you know what I mean…Instead of judging the kid and just bashing down, why not reach your arm out and help him?”

Chief Keef Earns Sympathy From Celebrities

QTip tweeted similar feelings of sympathy, saying, “Man I hope and pray that the yung (sic) brotha chief keef will be ok and come out of all this better…#onelove”

Actress Jackée Harry tweeted, “Chief Keef Crying In Court Today. #ThatsThatIshIDontLike!”

Rapper Fat Trel was more upset about the situation than some of his peers, telling XXL magazine, “I just think its bull s**t. I don’t know. I think it’s sour. That young boy just put out an album. [He] just got on probation. He just put out an album. Let that boy live. It’s f**ked up, but it is what it is. That s**t happen every day.”

Tweets About Chief Keef’s Troubles

Another rapper, Saigon, tweeted, “Its so bugged out seeing grown men wilding and so into Chief Keef and he gets locked up and goes to Juvie. Haha hes just a kid. Were LOST!”

Lil Duval, another rapper, tweeted his lack of surprise over news that Chief Keef cried in court. He said, “Chief keef cried over 60 days? I’m not surprised. Y’all forget he still a lil boy. Ask any teacher that teach bad kids.”

Lastly, Lil Keis tweeted words of encouragement to his friend. “I got you till you get home bro. @ChiefKeef Free chief keef the campain (sic).”
